ominous that michael floyd isnt playing at all (if he's not injured) but jaleel scott has done everything he could be asked to do to make the 53 at this point

Scott has been impressive all off-season. Wasn't too sure that he would amount to anything after his awful rookie season.
the lack of players at OLB who arent in the competition means timmy and tyus are both gonna play a lot of snaps even in this game

i hated the pick and there was a bit of confirmation bias after he looked awful last year too - but he's been awesome all offseason this year and he offers us something in the redzone if we want to use it that we dont really get from any other player on the roster other than michael floyd (and only one of scott and floyd is making the roster)
