Update: Welcome to B-More, Jeremy Maclin!

one of my friends is a bills fan and I just Texted him about Maclin being at Weddle party. He said he doesn't think thr Bills will open up the piggy bank for him. They went through that sharade for Shady a couple yrs ago

PFT also reported we inquired about trading for Decker so I'm expecting us to land one of Decker or Maclin. At this point, I'm excited and getting my hopes up for one of them!
I totally agree and would be happy with either of them. Both will be very good fits

I'm excited too. I've been on twitter for the last 8 hours, hoping to hear we got one of them.

In a perfect world, we already know what Decker would renegotiate down to this year so we can hopefully get Maclin down on his price. It is likely never going to be as low as Decker's but hopefully we can leverage our interest against the price. The fact that he left Buffalo tells me it wasn't necessarily about money.

Fortunately I've got another 2-3 hours here in Arizona before I need to go to sleep so I can monitor the situation in anticipation!

The thing is, the Ravens now have around $8M in cap space and can create more with restructures and releases (Camp, Watson come to mind). They could definitely snag both with backloaded deals.

However, the Ravens are going to be in absolute cap hell next year if they do.

Good thing we have 0 super important free agents next offseason.

I'd sign one, and draft another one next year in rounds 1-3. Dedicate next offseason to getting an offensive line

Eh, I'll pass. He's good but he's just a LB. The money he'll command is better spent at almost any other defensive position.
Not to mention we have his fifth year option to pick up, which we have. Then the year after that we probably have even more cap space and can resign him for real.
Next year. 0 key free agents, which is going to feel weird.
