I want Decker but I want BP to develop how will we ever know his potential if he doesn't get looks I mean I won't complain if we get Decker

Decker was cut shortly after we signed Maclin.I don't think we have the cap space for a trade unless the trade is contingent on a restructure which..... why would anyone be attracted to that?
Our best chance is either that or just wait and see if he gets cut. Either way, I don't like our odds.
Interesting i don't know how I feel about thatI truly wonder if we're planning on moving Wallace. I think a WR set of Maclin, Perriman, and Decker is a lot scarier than a WR set of Maclin, Perriman, and Wallace. It might even give us the opportunity to save cap space if we move Wallace and sign Decker to a smaller 2-3 year deal.

Maybe I'm alone here but With our current setup I like Wallace over decker.
Perriman and Wallace will clean house across the whole defense, zone dropping linebackers will drop another 5-10 yards deeper, safeties will always play deep halves, forget blitzing a db because you need 3 on man and 2 more on zone. Maclin will take advantage of this setup big time. I don't think decker presents the same thing.
I'd rather have perriman/Wallace/decker by the slimmest of margins. But Wallace is a guy I want here. Perriman/Wallace/maclin > perriman/decker/maclin
Let the boundary guys clear out the field, let maclin work the underneath with quick breaking routes where he can gain separation the way he knows best, and snag the ball and get YAC, when you need a big bodied let the TE handle it, whoever that is.So with the setup of Perriman/Wallace/Maclin spreading the field, I presume you then love our tight ends to work the middle of the field hard? I can get down with that thought process. Especially Boyle, Gilmore, and hopefully Maxx who should be able to get YAC if we can truly space the field as much as we think.
We need to bribe the bastard with free crabcakes too.
I think you are probably right about a trade for an o-lineman but I think we need to see where we are going into the season. If Jensen is not cutting it at Center and if they are serious about Hurst at RT (which scares me to death) and he is not cutting it. We may be forced to make an offer to Mangold or Clady and we may want to think about saving a little bit of cap space for that possibility. I love that our owner lets Ozzie spend it all, and Decker would help our team, but I don't want to see Joe constantly running for his life either and we have too many "ifs" on our o-line right now to guarantee that is not going to happen. If we are getting hit behind the LOS more than we are making plays down the field, I don't think anyone is going to be very happy. When it comes to offense, I am a firm believer in the fact that it all starts with the guys up front. I think Ozzie would be neglectful if he is not trying to work something out behind the scenes to help our o-line, even if it is a long shot to make happen.I'd love for us to make a move for a guard or tackle but I really think the well is dry. There's a league-wide shortage of quality linemen and the teams that have them, keep them.
I think we're serious about Decker. As I said, I think we're all in.
I would tend to agree with thisWord on the street is that we are giving Maclin $6 million this year. If we are somehow going to get Decker, we need to get rid of Watson, and restructure several deals.
We need to restructure the Jimmy deal. A player as injury prone as he is should not be making $12 million a season.I would tend to agree with this
You realize a player has to agree to a pay cut (not a restructure like you're suggesting) and he has zero incentive considering he's the most important defensive player on the team.We need to restructure the Jimmy deal. A player as injury prone as he is should not be making $12 million a season.
