If we're discussing trade possibilities and are searching for a solid starter who wouldn't cost an arm and a leg, I feel that one of the more applicable targets would be Zach Strief. He's 33, so mileage is a concern, but he had arguably his best season last year and has quietly been one of the better right tackles over the past several years. The Saints just drafted Ryan Ramczyk in the 1st round, and although Strief received a modest raise of $1 million in May on top of his still-meager base salary of $1.7 million, perhaps they could be enticed to send him away for a mid-to-late draft pick if Ramczyk shows promise. Given that Strief is due $5.1 million next season with a dead cap of just $1.1 million, he also wouldn't be a liability for our books. I admittedly haven't followed their OTAs, so this is just a surface estimate; but he could make for a relatively safe two-year rental, at least if we're looking to acquire an immediate starter.
