Signings, Cuts, Trades

Apparently PS players can turn down offers from other teams to stay on the practice squad instead.

Yep they can, but it's rare. Veterans in particular are likely the only ones making that choice, though, and that's really only a this year though. Harrison is a guy clearly after a ring, and I'm sure the Seahawks have made him some promises. Young guys are bolting for the 53 if the current team doesn't move them up.

I don't really see a point in moving Judon. Ride it out with him this year because we're a better team with him than without him, and take the comp pick.
And who's going to trade for Judon? At this point you don't want to trade a above average player to a contender.

On another note, I like that the Vikings were quick to cut their losses. Most of the reactions I saw made fun of them... They realized this season is going to end well for them, so they decided to get their draft pick earlier rather than waiting for a comp pick in 2022.

didnt michael campanaro at one point do that for us - reject a 53 spot somewhere else to come sit on our practice squad

I mean he has strong familial ties, its a tough loccer room, and he knows he only gets one last shot in the NFL. He has every reason to sign a cheap deal and keep his nose clean.

yeah i dont mean why he wouldnt come here, i mean why our front office would have no interest in him and why our owner probably wouldnt let it happen either

I was considering those all the reasons the Ravens would want him. Plus he can almost certainly be had cheap and it is the second biggest position of need left (interior OLine being other).

Somebody needs to photoshop Erics face on the Punisher or Duke Nukem for me

The Vikings are the gift that keeps on giving. That 5th last year for Vedvik then this. Do we get anything for Pierce signing with them? Curious about comp picks with opt outs.

It's anyone's best guess. Even Korte has said he doesn't know what they'll do. The contract will almost surely still count, but playing time is obviously part of the formula and who knows what impact opting out has. He's on the 5th/6th line either way.

I'm convinced EDC could take over the Orioles for one day and by the end of the day, find some team dumb enough to acquire Chris Davis and his horrible contract via trade.
