The Random Thought Thread

It's the one thing I look forward to, exposing this Miami offense for the frauds they are. Lions had a great offense... then we shut them down. Seahawks put up 35 on Dallas' "great" defense while we held them to three points.

I think we played two deep safeties on them last year but Marlon's injury opened up the door for the comeback. I fully expect Macdonald to do that this year.

Marlo went down and changed everything. There was another injury too

Do teams play two deep safeties at all vs dolphins? I watched the game vs commanders it looked like they didnt even care about covering hill.. im assuming they were werent play deep because then they would just get killed with screens
If we thought you were critical of OUR secondary, then you'd have a field day with the Commanders' secondary. It's beyond atrocious.

Re: referees. The NFL is so extremely silly in not trying to offload some of the easy things from on-fiels refs. Let's start by letting sensors and image processing call delay of game and false start. Probably really easy to do 12 men on the field and illegal formation as well. Add on offside/encroachment and now the refs can focus on less admin crap and have more eyes on all the judgement calls. It is not techically difficult and with their constant AWS commercials, it should be easy to get Amazon to develop it for free publicity.

That and the little technology they attempt to implement is horrible . Example being replays that last 5-10 mins

They want to uphold the tradition of the game yet they keep implementing rules that need to be governed and it's almost impossible. I think the refs fuck up a lot but I also find it hard to blame them (at least sometimes) with how many things they have to keep an eye out for. I can't imagine having to watch a QB get hit and determine (a) if he's a runner (b) if the defender leads with the crown (c) if the defender hits a QB low or high (d) if a defender puts his full weight on a QB (e) etc. It's got to be so fucking hard and they get no support. They still have to get it right but I can only imagine how much harder that job has become.

Was talking to a bucs fan who dnt really know much about the afc north so it eventually lead to me saying that “ the afc north all time 2nd team would probably beat the nfc south all the time 1st team”…….i was just bullshitting at first but then i thought about that we probably would win.. i dnt think the cbs would be as good though

Hmmm idk about that SSS, Evans, Brees… those three guys alone are better than anyone coming out of the AFC North at the same positions. Defensively I think the AFCN has them beat though

Welp Jags/Ravens tickets just got a whole lot cheaper after the Trevor Lawrence injury.

I still can't get over the fact Jacksonville have a spa pool for idiots in the stands, while their QB walks injured and in obvious pain a few hundred yards to the locker room.
