The Random Thought Thread

Ravens releasing him is most likely the reason he did. Who knows how many 'last chances' he blew in Baltimore
I definitely think so. Because our coaches really held out hope for him and they definitely saw something there that we didn’t. He wasn’t performing on the field and wasn’t even getting many snaps, and us as fans couldn’t understand for the life of us why he was still on the roster time and time again.

Am I wrong to be slightly miffed that Darren Waller couldn’t get his shit together until after he left us?

im not really - he never looked like much for whatever reason - its not like with some players who show promise with us but never get it together - waller was a mess with us and im glad hes sorted himself out and made himself some money - especially as he made a position swap while here too - lots of things on his plate

and if waller had put it together while he was with us we'd not have got mark andrews most likely

Pretty lofty expectations. Covering one division would be difficult. The only way to do is this is keep open lines with each team's insiders. That's not that easy.
OK - granted, my statement that they should know almost as much as the fans of each given team is asking too much. Like, they don't need to know that some guy named Alaka squeezed into the initial 53 but eventually went on IR.

However, some of these people seem utterly clueless on some pretty fundamental things. Half the people talking about the current state of our secondary know that Smith is out and know that we lost a couple other guys at CB. Do they even know anything about Tavon Young and had they ever heard his name before they read it on our list of IR players?

I agree, I'm happy for Waller and glad he put it together, but that last statement is very true.

To think how young Lamar Jackson and most of our offensive skill pieces are is very exciting. We need to retool our front seven and extend some of our really important players, plus add more pieces to the offense and we should be good to compete for a long time.

He's been pretty solid so far but now that this one is out of the system, I am looking forward to watch Earl go off big time.
NE? Bring it on, motherfuckers.

Seth Roberts
Chris Moore
Willie Snead
None of these players should be here next year.
Very encouraged by Hollywood and Boykin and I'm certain that Jaleel can be at least Chris Moore good, but what that means is even if those three stay healthy.... You've got 2 good receivers and a depth guy. You need at least 3 more guys. Can't see us using another high draft pick and we're not going to sign a big money free agent. I guess what I'm saying is I don't see a clear solution to our receiver problem
