But here we are signing ST players after dropping a ST pro bowler who was a "major" signing during the offseason and impacted who made the 53.

Yeah, Bethel is a great ST player and all, but I'd much rather have a 4th round pick that could turn into something better. Also, our ST unit is already pretty solid all-around so it's not a huge loss. Unfortunately, the Titans cutting Urban forced us to make this move or we would lose a comp pick.

Idc as bout Bethel just curious about these moves. If these guys are so smart why didnt they look into Mosely and his injury before making this move before the pats game? Did it matter the date or something? Why not cut him next week?

If he was here next week, he would see the game plan and week 10 was the deadline.

imagine if mosley goes on IR and the patriots then cut bethel after our game


thankfully eric hasn't got any hair on his head left.

Obviously not showing him the game plan cause if we waited we'd see the recent news about Mosley and perhaps not bother releasing him.

My bad didnt realize what day it was.

that's all that changes - 1 of our 2 comp picks moves down a round in the draft...

We'd probably just use the pick on a 6'5 WR who runs a 4.4 and have him play ST....there we've come full circle and got our ST player back. Lol

Anyone think GM's should coach? At least u know they will play their guys and play them to their strengths.

Mosley has nothing to do with us releasing Bethel. The reason we released Bethel is because of the Titans cutting Brent Urban.

"The Ravens could have waited until after they faced off with the Patriots to release Bethel and still get the comp pick. They know that. But they didn’t. They value the relationship with Bethel and his representatives."

Also waiting until after our game would force Bethel to have to clear waivers. Prior to week 10 you don't need to clear waivers and cutting him prior to getting the game plan next week is just stringing him along, imo.
