Does this mean we still have Lamar or no? If we still get Lamar then easy Nick Bosa lol.
Yeah, I chose Nick Bosa since we already had Lamar Jackson. Other than that if we had to choose one player from 2017-19 and only one, I'd take Lamar Jackson.Does this mean we still have Lamar or no? If we still get Lamar then easy Nick Bosa lol.
If mahommes came out in 2017.. im def taking himYeah, I chose Nick Bosa since we already had Lamar Jackson. Other than that if we had to choose one player from 2017-19 and only one, I'd take Lamar Jackson.
I wouldn’t be shocked if we can keep Peters and Humphrey on a discount due to the team chemistry. That said, money is pretty important so maybe wishful thinking. I do think it is possible they both want to re-sign though just because of what we’re building here.Zrebiec with a load of tweets from humphrey's presser - was going to post one but deleted it because they're all great - will post the text of all of them in one post because i think it all tells a pretty compelling story:
"Marlon Humphrey told a good story to illustrate how much Lamar Jackson has lifted the locker room this yr. Jackson went into training room yesterday, not because he needed to get treatment, but he just wanted to shake hands with all the rehabbing players and the athletic trainers
"Humphrey said that type of gesture means a lot to everyone, given how much Jackson's star has risen. Humphrey said that Jackson has always been humble, but he's seemingly gotten humbler the more success he's had.
"Humphrey story came after he said that the current Ravens team just seems tighter than ones he's been on in the past. Said guys hang out in the locker room for an hour after practice just to discuss different things.
"Humphrey also said that Marcus Peters has done a lot for team chemistry. Not long after he was acquired, Peters suggested all the DBs got together for a team dinner. Peters footed the bill. Now, the DBs get together for dinner regularly."
More on jackson:
"He calls people by name, knows the names of kids of people in the building. Just gets it.

i would be shocked - i think we'll pay both but i think they're both getting top of the market cb money

I agree both get top dollar but I could see a situation where they take some kind of team friendly deal. Perhaps in structure or perhaps in a way of getting paid. Not that they’d lose money but more like more guaranteed money with slightly less base, shuffled years salary, etc.I agree with both of you. No way we don't resign Peters and extend Humphrey, but I agree with Rossi that it will be top of the market cb money. They are both worth it though.

All defensive FAs will have their agents calling Baltimore to get them deals for 3-4 years vacation, playing 4 minutes per quarter.i dont think either of them will have agents who will allow that to happen - they'll want top cb money and they'll get it - probably from us - and im fine with that - weve got the cap space for once to actually pay the players we want to keep
the longer the season goes on the less likely it is i think that we sign many or any free agents from other teams this offseason
Nothing wrong with signing a good vet or two for the right price. I don't think we'll overdo it.Yeah I think the FA will be interesting because we may be able to attract some vets who want to get a ring. I'm just not sure if we should be heading in that direction.
I'm cool with paying Humphrey and Peters whatever they want. Arguably the best CB duo in the league and we can just fill in the holes on defense through the draft.
he hasn't ever been in a locker room anything like this before.I kind of worry about Peters. I read somewhere that he’s known to wear out in the locker room. That’s why chiefs and rams shipped him. We only get half a season to decide if we should extend him (unless we tag him), we’re definitely still in the honeymoon phase.
