i dont know that we need to double down with high picks at OL - we need at least 1 high pick interior pickup but we're not desperate for 2 (not that id be opposed to doubling down if those were the value picks)
We need a C more than anything. We can get away with a weaker LG but I'd prefer to have a dominating interior. I could see the team retaining Montgomery if he plays well for us, and I could see us pursuing a Tevin Coleman in FA

I still think the team views Bozeman as a future starter more than anything I I think we all envision Brown becoming something more. So I question if we even try to patch up the issues. Which would be typical Ravens.

The team does have a good foundation moving forward for Lamar but if we do decide to go that direction and get rid of the old guard, expect us to finish last in the division. I like Lamar and think very highly of him. I highly doubt he comes out of the gate to dominate. And if he has no oline, he's gonna get killed.

im so confused with this oline thing. I feel
Like flacco has had plenty of time to throw each gaMe. Yes we could use improvements but from what ive been seeing, pass rush, flacco, rbs and wr drops has been struggling the most.

As was mentioned back in May they compromised winning now by not making that high pick at the interior line position. When Jensen left it should have been a huge priority, guess maybe they thought they had more talent with the young guys they had than was actually here, but not addressing it has all but killed the chances for this year.

we need to do what we did with pass rusher last year and tight end this year
we need to follow the blueprint of the broncos this year and titans the year before at wr - double down at the position with 2 high picks at the position of need

broncos now have a young wr corps that makes them comfortable trading away demaryius thomas
titans now have a young wr corps that means they can shed any non-bought in players
We doubled down at WR this year, but we waited until the 4th and 5th round. I don't know why we wait till late in the draft to pick a WR. We do it constantly when you wait till late to pick a WR then it's no suprise to anyone that he doesn't pan out. I believe after the first trade back we had enough assets to get Lamar. I'm not dismissing Hurst, he's a rookie so let's give him time, I just think people are a little impetient because he's 25 and expected him to make a bigger impact. If we're talking about hypotheticals here, then I wouldn't take Derwin James at 17, the defense is fine, they may not truly be elite but they can still hold off scoring drives. I would've traded back after the 1st time and take Calvin Ridley at 22 honestly. That's what I would've done because we need a young playmaker and soon enough in the worst way.

I think if it could have been known that Andrews could be who he is Ridley(or even Moore) along with Hernandez next could have been ideal.

Ridley was a pretty sure thing. I don't think he had a lot of bust potential we just needed a TE but I don't think we envisioned Andrews being this good early on. Had we done so maybe we would have went in a different direction Round 1.

On the subject of WR I think we do that because we think we can get cute and pull off a late round steal and look brilliant a la PIT and Vikings but the problem is I think we get too cute and too I don’t know in the early rounds. I mean we took Bowser when we could’ve taken Juju and most of us wanted Juju. Not saying Bowser blows but he can’t see the field. That’s the problem though is we hoped and prayed Juju would fall to our third but if you like him that much be aggressive and get him or take him and trade up for Bowser. This is where we are failing—we are losing the draft stock game imo. We’ve been losing the chess game and I think it’s why we still do well in the middle rounds because we can still evaluate talent but we lose the early rounds because we get too cute and too conservative and have no feel for who is going to go where and take these high upside guys or get way too conservative.

Ridley and Moore were sure things to me. I think Ridley was great but didn’t like how old he was or his size because I feared he would be injury prone. I like him better than Hurst and I don’t dislike Hurst I just liked Ridley more. I’m scared of first round TE because I don’t think they contribute and make immediate impacts unless they’re my boy OJ Howard

Ridley has issues with his size and his age but nothing outside that as his routes were superb coming out and his speed was there. Very confusing that we didn’t take him honestly

Im expecting us to use Montgomery as a OW and not just a RB. I honestly think he'll play good. We don't run much with Allen and we don't pass much to Alex. He can be a guy that we run or pass to. if he leaves, we hopefully get our 7th back.

Don’t understand why we would pay for a RB when we can draft one for cheaper. I really like this RB class. A lot of guys that can do what Coleman can do and maybe better.

Ridley had drop issues in college, but other then that he was a sure thing

The idea that more picks and players that are "serviceable" vs less picks and better talent makes me sick.

I could do without our "depth" if we would have swung for a game changing talent. We passed up on
I agree but we need to do this with the oline before anything. Lamar will kill teams in the middle of the field the more Hurst and Andrews develop and those two are going to lessen the need in the long run. He ain't going to get anything done unless he has a mauling offensive line ahead of him. WR is a need, but I think John Brown, at bare minimum, will be the recipient of the franchise tag. Yes, over CJ. Brown is in his prime and has a few very good years left. We need to draft two interior guys, one C, one G. Possibly three, if we choose to groom a replacement for Yanda this early. No more Lewis and Hurst and Skura as starters. They're a big reason why we're struggling at the moment.

Snead and Brown are two nice guys to help build a WR corps around. I could see us releasing Crabtree this offseason if we so choose to.

Crab only goes if we are really making the push for a #1.

like wtf is going on with our 1st and 2nd draft picks. We have been in position to draft studs these last few yrs and instead we have been drafting bums, not even decent players.. we suck at evaluating talent.. no other way around it

Our oline is never gonna be perfect. I promise that the best oline in the history of the nfl wouldnt even be able to help flacco with his problems.. now lamar, thats a different story. Idk how he is gonna be perform when he becomes the starter but that td pass he threw looked really good from start to finish

I remember how crazy we were when we traded away the pick that ended up being Myles Jack..............for Correa

Huh?
You don't get very close to all time Bama receiving records with drop issues, despite heavy run game focus and 2 seasons of Hurts being you QB.
His hands were definitely listed as a concern. He had dropped 20 passes in his three seasons (despite lowered volume as his career wore on). They were a definite flag, but not one that would stop me from drafting him.
