this was said last year also. You never know until it happens. Do you think teams/fans look at their schedule and say, I can't wait until we play the Ravens.Idk why i havent noticed but got dam we have one tough ass schedule.. yea this gonna be a bumpy ride
I hate how our team looks right now. We're so devoid of talent.
I agree with what you are saying, except as much as I like Tavon Young, he's not the best slot corner in football.I mean you have Humphrey who has a real pro bowl shot, Carr and Smith who are both very good, A HoF safety who barring injury has looked like a HoF safety, best slot corner in football, Pierce who if he can find a way to shed the weight, a young top 5 LT, a top 3 guard, 2nd year RT who looked really good last year especially for a rookie.
Those are just the players who I would call big time. I am ignoring the solid but unspectacular players such as Ingram, Peanut, Bozeman, Snead, Jefferson etc. There is a LOT of talent on this roster and that shows strength in how the team has drafted the past few years.
Our div alone is scary..pats, rams and niners plus HOU..this was said last year also. You never know until it happens. Do you think teams/fans look at their schedule and say, I can't wait until we play the Ravens.
Best slot cb? Chris harris doesnt play slot anymore? And stanley is good but not top 5 yetI mean you have Humphrey who has a real pro bowl shot, Carr and Smith who are both very good, A HoF safety who barring injury has looked like a HoF safety, best slot corner in football, Pierce who if he can find a way to shed the weight, a young top 5 LT, a top 3 guard, 2nd year RT who looked really good last year especially for a rookie.

Top 2 secondary(debatable between us and the chargers) top 3 defense, potentially the best all around defense in general. The most electrifying college players the last 2 years in Lamar and Hollywood, and all time great safety, a really solid rb, a young stud TE, 2 young stud tackles, a HOF RG, another potential young stud TE, possibly the games best NT, I really wouldn’t say that. This team is a leap from Lamar, a LG and C, and elite pass rusher away from being one of the most loaded teams in the league and we’re already an exciting one with all the speed we have on offenseI hate how our team looks right now. I understand concerns about Lamar, but what’s your concern with Hollywood? Speed translates, and brown might be the fastest player in the league, my concerns with him were all injury and character related(character concerns strictly due to his cousin) but I don’t have much concern with his ability if he’s healthyMy fear with Lamar is its a big leap. I just hope he does not lose the games this year because the defense can win them. I also have SERIOUS questions about Hollywood and how his game will grow as it pertains to the NFL, but even without that, pounding the rock and playing defense keeps the game close and I trust this Ravens defense to make one more play then the other team.

My concern is Roman.. im really not trying to see what we saw with kap and tyrod.. those guys never became consistent passers.. with lamar being a much better runner than both, im thinking the gimmicky offense will continue. I really dont wanna see that wish bone shit and one 1 wr formations anymoreMy fear with Lamar is its a big leap. I just hope he does not lose the games this year because the defense can win them. LMAO... don't worry. It most likely wouldn't show until his second contract and we've never had that problem with wrs... I also like the play on words "character related.' Don't know if it was purposeful, but good work.

If Hollywood was just a deep threat, then I would agree, but he's way more than that and as Joey said below, speed translates.
difference with Hollywood is he is a nuanced route runner and a much better route runner than DJax. D Jax was just a 9 route player out of college and Hollywood is much more well rounded than Jackson. Hollywoods speed will translate to the NFL and if he works at his craft he may end up being one of the better playmakers in the NFL.My first concern is that I am not sure how well he will gel with Lamar and his skillset. I have not seen him make 10-15+ yard throws outside the numbers which makes me wonder if he can take advantage of a speed guy.
Second I think the amount that speed translates is vastly overrated. I think it used to but over the past 15 years a lot of scheme changes and vast improvement in quality of safeties in the NFL have largely mitigated that. When I look at great WRs over past decade, none of them are slow, but they all typically have strong hands, good route running, and of course can track the ball well. Those all seem to be way more important than speed because I think only 1 or 2 burners have even made it to the tier 2 WRs of the past decade. I know 1 has been compared to Hollywood a lot but a bunch failed where he succeeded (Desean Jackson).
He's my favorite Ravens player. Reed was like having an extra man on the field, a true 12th man.
