Our opponents minus the 17th game is officially set for 2021. The AFC South team we play at home based on standings will be Indy, while the AFC East team we play on the road will be Miami. Our 2021 Opponents look like this, again this is without the 17th game.

Home:
Steelers
Browns
Bengals
Chiefs
Vikings
Packers (@Ice Bowl, you better be planning a trip to Baltimore)
Chargers
Colts

Away:
Steelers
Browns
Bengals
Broncos
Raiders (VEGAS ROAD TRIP!!!!)
Bears
Lions
Dolphins

With what transpired today, I want us to thank an organization for their bravery, their courage, their hard work, and their dedication last week. They truly are our allies. Give them a round of applause, ladies and gentlemen!

That seems at this moment like a pretty tough schedule. Or at least tougher than this year's schedule

pretty sure we're playing the NFC West in our 17th game which would mean the Rams (could be wrong though)

That was absolutely embarrassing from Pederson and the Eagles. I’m all about better draft position but come on now. At least act like you’re trying.

It was a bush league move.

I love how upset Michaels and Collinsworth were. It makes the league and Eagles look horrible. #3 QB that you've employed for years and you decide the 2nd half of week 17 is the time to try him out? On SNF, no less

Exactly. Just shameful. I can’t imagine walking back into that locker room and playing for Pederson after what he just did. Props to Al and Cris for not holding back.

Yeah, I'd refuse to play for Pederson. You can't set the precedent that you are willing to intentionally lose. Guys need to put food on the table and Pederson just spat in their faces...

Imagine how an Eagles lifer like Jason Kelce feels

I mean... is it really that big of a deal though?

Go back and look at the list of inactive players they didn't play last night. You think all of them were injured? LOL, no.

Why is Carson Wentz inactive? Who thinks Nate Sudfeld needs more snaps than him?

I'm not sure why anybody thinks benching a QB who was playing terribly, in the 4th quarter of a game where you're out of playoff contention, and on a team that's been embarrassing for pretty much the whole season, is an outrage?

I'd love to hear a single Giants fan intelligently stand up and be like "yeah, we got hosed". Dude you lost 10 games this year. You shouldn't be happy about anything. Making the playoffs with ten losses isn't a good thing. Its a bad thing. You're dead money in the playoffs. You can convince yourself that like "o maybe we'll make a run" or "o we could still win a playoff game", but nobody cares.

The only thing I would have liked better is for Pederson to stand up at the press conference afterwards and be like "yeah, obviously, we didn't put our best team on the field tonight", and then mock the media for pretending like they did, which is what they did for 3 quarters.

Also, you heard it here first (even though I'm not the first).... Jalen Hurst isn't saving anything. He'll be the starter next year, he'll do slightly better than this year, which isn't good, then he'll regress, and by his 3rd year people will realize "o shit, he really isn't better than Wentz". And Wentz will be winning playoff games in a better organization with better players before that happens.

And I don't even think Wentz is great. I just think Philly has had so many injuries and done such a piss poor job with roster and cap management, that thinking he's the problem is just a mask for the real problem.

In 3-4 years, everybody will be gone from that team. You won't recognize anybody. Coaches, players, etc.

It's not even about the Giants. It's the pure integrity of the game, and the obvious tank job in the middle of it. The players knew what was going on and you could see the disappointment and anger on their faces on the sideline. It's one thing if you're down by 2 scores and want to throw in the towel, but they were down 3 points in a very winnable game and Pederson threw it. Players don't care about the draft position - they want to win. I couldn't show back up in that locker room and play for that man in good conscience.

it's the fact that the NFL flexed this game into SNF too

even the jets were trying to win all season despite the fact it was gonna give them worse draft position

they just sucked

you could make an argument that the jags went in the tank but the players on the field were still playing hard and the coaches were still coaching (in-game) to try and win (even if some of their pre-game personnel decisions through some doubt on that some weeks

Exactly. There's a difference between realizing you have an inferior team and just rolling with that (e.g. Colts with Curtis Painter) vs. having an opportunity to win and blatantly throwing it away in the middle of a game.

if the jets hadnt actively tried to - and succeeded in - winning those 2 games and fired Gregg Williams for it, you could have suggested the raiders game was a deliberate throw

but it seems pretty clear in hindsight that it wasnt deliberate - they just sucked both as players and coaches

OK, but as I said, why didn't you know that pregame?

You saw the same list of inactives that I did. How does one justify deactivating Wentz? You can't. They were tanking before the game started. Everybody knew it. They just didn't want to say it.

I don't have a problem with them benching Hurts any more than I do the Dolphins benching Tua. He sucked out there. He was terrible. He was as much a reason for them losing as for them winning. If you don't want to put Wentz out there, why are you putting Hurts out there? What's the gain?

Players can say anything they want. They want to play hard. If they all actually cared about winning as much as they say they do, then nobody would ever sign a contract with the Jets. Or the Jags. Or like a half dozen other teams who have been terrible for decades.

They might be disappointed with the outcome, but they're going to post for a paycheck next year all the same.
