Honestly guys this is unfair. Comparing this draft class to others around the league is just laughable. Wel got value all around and double dipped at any position of need with high upside guys who have produced at the college level. Most come from historic programs and have no red flags yet fall right into our laps. These are clean prospects.

I see 5-6 guys who will produce at some level and 3-4 who will probably recieve a 2nd contract. This class could be incredible

EDC manipulated the board as well as he could to fall into areas of need on our team while getting value at each position. That trade with NE was pivotal to get us in the position to make these picks

Seems like one of the key things the ravens wanted in this draft were mentally inclined players, Queen, Harrison and stone are incredibly high iq players, they all have an idea of what’s coming after the snap and play with a ton of anticipation. Madubuike has great vision and ball awareness and finishes very well, he’s got this keen ability to keep track of the ball carrier in a way that most college DTs dont, and it’s one of the traits that often separate successful and unsuccessful DTs at the next level. Dobbins is a refined and well rounded 3 down back who is talented in every aspect of rb play. Duvernay idk about smarts but is a very high character high effort player. Proche is a natural catcher and a very solid route runner. Bredeson supposedly is a super high iq, high character, refined player.

it just really seems like we wanted guys who are high iq or safer/refined prospects.
They all have a role in our system. And that's what makes them special. It also makes us rate them higher on our board.

This is what makes our scouting department special. We have specific on both sides of the ball and different traits appeal to us more than other teams now more than ever. I'm starting to think this puts us at a huge advantage because we dont have to take as many risks.

I did not know the Vikings had so many picks, we all thought Miami had a bunch of picks but damn Vikings.

Man, as much as I'm not in love with our draft in any measure, I struggle to find teams who I'd change the whole 7 rounds with.. Maybe DEN, DET and MIN but that's it.. So, I guess Im gonna live with it

I really liked the draft and many of the players we drafted. My only disappointment was that we missed out on Espenesa. Dobbins is a nice addition but if we would have been able to grab AJ and help address our lack of Edge, I think it would have made more of a difference this season, however thinking more long term, maybe Dobbins makes more sense.

Stoked about these new players. So many picks that I think EDC did really well with.

I’m not even sure I’m upset with missing out on A.J...Dobbins is going to be a really nice player for us and add another dimension to our running game.

I do feel we'll regret not picking elliot.
I'm curious as to why people feel mazubuike is the better player? Watching film of the two right now, I don't quite see it. Don't get me wrong, Mazuibke is up there in my rankings and not far off elliot.

Pretty happy about the draft. Now I think @Edgar should put together a post draft video of our draft class.

I know he had Duvernay and Proche as the number 13 and 14 WR's in this draft class. Maybe you can do a breakdown on both of these guys also.

Same here although i guess i preferred Elliott because of his slap and swim move.

Overall I pretty happy with the draft especially with Queen. The DT and the OLs we picked tho, I'm not sure. No draft is perfect, but two of them feel like reaches.

If we stay healthy, and the following three happen, I don't know how anything other than a deep playoff run is our floor.

If we stay healthy, Ferguson takes a step (6 sacks), Boykin takes a step (600 yards), and the interior OLine holds its own by whichever three players, then I see a historic offense which added Dobbins, Duvernay, and Proche, and literally an elite defense top to bottom.

Watched the FO post draft interviews and Eric was asked the question about drafting from big school programs. He said top to bottom they specifically looked for guys that were smart, well schooled and disciplined, ready to roll Day 1.

I’m thinking teams weren’t nearly as high on epenesa as we were.

Madubuike is a MUCH more well rounded player. Elliott is essentially a 3 tech gap shooter, and he’s stellar at that, but being ravens fans a lot of us probably subconsciously get turned off from a DT who’s only got that 1 skill set, as much as I want a pass rushing beast of a DT, I’ll sacrifice some of it for being a real 3 down DT who’s still excellent getting to the qb.

plus with me, I’ve grown accustomed to not having positional pass rush specialists, I’m warming up to and starting to understand the philosophy, we use our untouchable secondary to rush 5-6 on every play and we win with numbers plain and simple, we don’t need edge benders or outside speed rushers or even Uber explosive 3techs, we need guys that can work together to get 1 player to the qb on any given down, our DL needs to create openings in the pass rush the same way an OL does in the run game.

As much as I like Queen and Dobbins, I feel Justin Madubuike was the best pick we had in the class based on where we took him and talent.

It seemed like it, seemed like Nearly Every pick either had smarts, character, or refinement by the boatload, with us drafting the likes of ferguson and Boykin and Mack and Tim Williams and bowser and Correa and kaufusi, it’s a nice change up lol

I'm replying to myself. I should have checked youtube before I requested this, but you've already started this.
