my issue with milton williams is im not sure what to do with him positionally - feels like a true tweener - it helps that he's super athletic but just not sure about him as an edge, and definitely not sure about him as a full time interior DL
Darden's got amazing short area quickness
osa odighizuwa i see somewhat similarly to williams - a bit undersized to the extent that im not sure he gets on the field as a raven
Tremble's intriguing - great blocker, has the athleticism to develop as a route-runner and pass catcher but supremely raw as a receiver
Bynum's the rare high floor, low ceiling CB - really good work in press, especially off the line, lacks the long speed and dynamic twitch but very calm and patient and in control
Rashad Weaver's got some surprising bend and some inside/outside versatility that works in his favour - more refined than some of the guys who'll go ahead of him
i've not watched any of jonathan marshall
Alim McNeill is amazing
i've not watched tre walker
The tweener label is an appropriate one for Milton, I agree. He won't be for everyone, and he could use general refinement regardless of where he plays. That said, he has experience everywhere, lining up outside of the OT on most of his 2019 snaps, and bouncing between 1T and 5T in 2020. I don't know if he's best suited for edge, despite the outrage workout numbers: 4.62, 34 reps, 38.5 inch vertical and a 6.93 cone. But I do think he could play a similar role to Derek Wolfe. They're similar in size as well, being 1 inch and 6 lbs apart.
Darden is one of the most exciting watches in this entire class. Violent cuts and an underrated catch radius. He's a question mark on contested catches. But the fact that he had zero of them despite being 5th in the class in 20+ yard gains shows the separation he was able to attain.
Odighizuwa's wrestling background consistently shows on tape. I'm unsure of his ceiling and proper fit, but I like his floor.
Agreed wholeheartedly on Tremble.
Agreed on the assessment regarding his skillset. That said, I'm high on Bynum's potential. What he did against Luke Falk years ago is burned into my memory. I would not be surprised if he becomes a quality starting corner. However, I am worried about his ability in man coverage given how he fared at the Senior Bowl. So I am somewhat tempering my expectations.
Agreed on Weaver as well. I have a significant amount of question marks on this edge class, and Weaver is among my more intriguing options. However, he does lack explosion and I wonder how much this will affect him in the pros, i.e. a Derek Barnett. Don't doubt his ability to be effective though, and I would not mind him in Day 2.
I've only started watching Marshall today and have seen nothing but highlights and his impressive Pro Day. But boy, he was in the backfield a lot for a player his size.
Agreed on McNeill.
Walker is a deep sleeper of mine. Not a lot of tape on him out there.
