The WR Thread

Ya i thought so too. He has all the traits i just worry that he might take time to translate to the nfl. But he was on point with his write up
I don't worry that he takes time, I think he's got a pro ready skill set and should contribute early. I worry that his frame limits him, like where he shines and looks like a stud in college, he is stifled in the NFL due to physical limitations. The speed, quickness, understanding, technique, length etc are all there, but he's too damn flimsy. Press and tight man coverage will limit him where it doesn't in college

This is true but hes also a weight room warrior so hes strong for how slim he is. His family has a crazy story. But ya his length scares me too; its so odd it looks like he could just snap something in the NFL. And by snap i mean break a leg or an arm (shin or forarm)

DJ Moore really is electric. Like holy cow, im not sure if I like him or Kirk more. I like Kirks floor and returner value but Moore feels more dynamic to me and has more potential than Kirk.

I have a problem with Kirk: he's marely a slot guy.
You can't use him outside running fades because he doesn't have the top end speed and none will respect that side of his game.
You eliminate the comebacks as well, since none will buy his outside release on fades (that he won't run).
He's not fast enough, nor elusive imo.
I really see him as a poor Sterling Shepard.
I think he'll definitely be there in the 3rd but there's so much other directions i would go, there, instead

Yeah he looks faster and quicker than Kirk, he's going to end up higher than Kirk on my board

I honestly think we are gonna get a Wr outta Fa then maybe pick one the 2nd or third! Only Wr thats worth the risk at 16 is ridley and thats if he is there. Maybe sutton too but idk

I have to wonder what the chances are that we trade back on our first (if there is quality defensive talent there that another team will be willing to trade up for), then we use our first pick on one of these guys, then use the draft collateral gained by trading back or out of the 1st to trade up and get 2 of these 2nd round talents.

If we are truly committed to filling needs, we could take this approach, rather than the classic BPA. Meaning, we aren't just going to take a DT because he's the best available at 16 (as suggested per McShay, despite Bisciotti's comments), but also aren't going to reach for need. Use trade to position ourselves to get value and fill our needs at the same time.

Trading down is by far the best option at our disposal. Just no real value at 16.

yeah there's only 2 ways it can go value-wise at 16
it's either a meh nebulous collection of talent that's not worth the spot or its an unbelievable steal falling to 16

the only value at 16 is if a great talent falls or if a qb/big name is there at 16 and there is suddenly big trade value
