The WR Thread

Wims is a guy I like that no one is talking about.
Goes and gets the football...tremendous leaper...great size 6'4, 215, ( if he times well, you'll see his stock go up).
Clutch player...no one in this class has better hands.

and thats it for now. have watched most of the film i could find on these guys, all have a decent amount except for robertson.

Cain a 7 on speed 8 on quickness. And Miller a 10??

i havent watched cain since the seaason, i dont recall any stellar long speed but the main thing i got from his film were attacking/body control and quickness and use of leverage. and yes miller, if i could id give him 11/10 on quickness and body control. his sideline and spatial awareness are first rate, nobody is fucking with his ability to stay skinny near the sideline while still getting his hands on a ball with a tight catching window, nobody is fucking with his stutter steps/cuts/breaks/stop n' go. hes got wasted motion in his upper body, but that doesnt take away from the speed and sharpness that he makes his cuts.

Anthony Miller is sooo slept on its kind of sad. Too bad he couldn’t help his stock with the combine.

Watching DJ Moore film and man, if he had Rosen or mayfield or darnold vs UCF he may have hung 400 yards on them. He was setting up corners really well with acceleration and subtle twitches to sell one route and run another, strong hitches and comebacks, creative setups, splitting the corner and safety perfectly. He just shows a great understanding of how to play wr and I was underselling the hell out of him earlier. If e had a competent qb he'd be 2nd or 3rd best wr in the nation.
I really hope we are able to get DJ. If we don’t....... :crying:

I just really hope we get 2 WRs from this draft. The day 2 depth is too good not to double dip

I like him a lot but you are overcooking him. You have him as the next Antonio Brown. I have him closer to Mason. He came in at over 200 lbs. his style of play I would prefer he play at 188-190. He didn’t run today officially cuz I hear he was in the 4.65 range early in the week. Maybe he improves that as he runs more since the injury. If he played at 188-190 he may get into the 4.4s like 4.48. I believe he could be a top shelf No.2.

Side note I was rooting for Jmon Moore. He was running 4.55-4.58 this week and he ran 4.60. Was looking for him to run sub4.5 He plays pretty fast.Ridley should be low 4.4s has a chance to get 4.3 range

I say this every year. I’ll say it again. The 40 is the most overrated of all combine drills. It’s got some importance but it’s overblown as all hell. Tape >>>>>>> combine numbers. Robertson plays at around a 4.5 speed.

While I agree with you. The combine isn’t totally irrelevant. How many have Brown in round1 now?? I always said he was fat slob that recently got his weight in check for draft season. 2 yrs he will be 400 lbs outa the league.

Im assuming you haven't watched pettis then?

youre putting too much stock in times. he was always seen as quicker than fast, his game doesnt need speed, just burst and separation, which he has in spades, and i never compared him to AB, i always saw more steve smith in him due to his surprising strength and toughness and ability to attack and pursue the ball. i see the derrick mason though, really those 2 werent far off from eachother once their speed faded, they both were route technicians who caught the hell out of the ball and played tough as nails.

pettis was one of those guys that i began watching, was totally unimpressed, and moved on. strikes me as more of a returner than anything. didnt like his hands, didnt like his route game as it looked very low effort and just lackadaisical(not that pettis himself looks low effort, just that there is nothing to his route game) and really just nothing jumped out on tape at all for me. and i tend to lean towards washington players a lot(although i didnt like john ross either) so i was really disappointed once i turned on pettis' tape.

@JoeyFlex5 cain ran a 4.43 and wilson ran a 4.54. Cain is one of the mkst explosive players in this class and his tape in 15/16 is reflective of that. Same with Wilson who has good speed but not great speed on tape and you gave him a 9. Should be 9 for Cain and 8 for Wilson
