It would probably still be wise to sell some of the older guys and rebuild the farm a little bit. The team is still too inconsistent for my liking and we don't want to be set back by getting rid of our young guys. Or they can just wait until the offsesason and re-evaluate then.
Sell now while the iron is hot. There are many teams in the thick of a playoff race who badly need relievers (Dodgers, Angels) and have excellent farm systems to sell with.
iirc, I think the Astros have also been mentioned as having a good farm in other Orioles discussions I've read.
At this point I think Oriole management needs to ask themselves if they are going to be willing to pay Britton or Machado what they realistically can get on the open market after the 2018 season. If not, they need to start looking for the best return they can get for them, with starting pitching prospects being number one on our wish list. With our current starting pitching I feel out ceiling is that of a mediocre team.I'm selling. But not the good ones.

Yeah, I think it's just people liking their prospects. I don't know if the O's have anyone who the Astros would actually want.
