In fact dammit I'm pissed. Harbaugh says we're coming out with some good blitzes in the 2nd half. Yeah great job. How bout doing it when the game is on the line and oh btw if Ben catches you in a blitz fuckin audible ok.

He did. No one got home and no one covered. People need to stop with this bs about him not being aggressive. That's not why the defense didn't work.

On that AB pass we blitzed and that's exactly why he shit on us, weddle wasn't there to help

1. We have Tyus Bowser. An athletic freak who excels and has good coverage skills. Why are we using him almost exclusively as a pass rusher. I get it, he can beat RTs with his athleticism, but that's a misuse of his talent.

2. Tim Williams needs to play more as a situational pass rusher. Za'Darius sucks and Judon's sacks are coverage sacks. There are plays this season where Tim has soundly beaten the RT and has effectively applied pressure on the QB... TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT.

I mean.. Both of these two have flashed. The more live reps they get, the better they're going to be. Use them, damnit.

i still dont know why we dont use a version of the houston 5 man hat-on-hat rush front that even the steelers used last night late on in a couple of critical situations...

we've certainly got the personnel for it... you have the dime package in and then you have Judon/Williams Mosley Bowser Henry Suggs - you can drop virtually every single one of them into coverage from anywhere and you can also rush any number of the 5 of them and they are all guaranteed 1v1 on the oline unless they bring in a rb/te to chip or double team (which takes a route away) - on dime we often do a version of this with the whole team lined up at the LoS but rush 4 or blitz from the outside - i want to see us rush 5 but rush 5 conventionally and see if we can beat these guys 1 on 1 because if we cant then why are these guys playing...
 
Harbaugh looked like he was going to pop a fuse in the short post game presser. I've seen him pissed off but you could see in his eyes that this was a big one, for ozzie and steve.
 
The Steelers attacked Brandon Carr all night. I want to see how many receiving yards he is responsible for. I think it is easily 200. I haven't seen such a bad game at CB since Cary Williams against the Pats.

It's funny when you see the Steelers basically giving away wrs to start the year, Ju-Ju is out and they can still do this. Why can't we scout that goddam position well? If you think the Joe contract is bad, watch what happens when we finally draft a wr who shows any semblance of being good.
 
Sorry, not blaming Pees for the pass rush not getting home or Brandon Carr getting his ass burnt or Mosley getting wrecked by an average joe tight end. Steelers won because they won their matchups. There's little a DC can do about blown coverages and missed tackles.

If your #1 LB who's supposedly a top five backer can't fucking cover Jesse goddamn James, what the hell is a defensive coordinator supposed to do? When Jimmy Smith is out and the rest of the secondary is slow, what the hell can Pees actually do? When we played man or press, we got beat deep. When we played zone, we gave up chunks down the field. We just couldn't win a matchup.

I will never blame Pees for Mosley/Weddle letting Jesse James get 10 catches for 97 yards and Vance McDonald (who?) getting four catches for 52 yards. Seriously, the tight ends combined for 14 for 150 yards and people are blaming Pees? Jesse James got a quarter of his entire season's production in one game last night. On the year, he has 39 catches for 356. He got 10 and 100 of those just last night. That ain't Pees's fault.

I will probably not blame Pees for Brown getting 200 yards. Brown beat every coverage we threw at him. Press? He got the nine route. Off man? He got the dig. Zone? He jogged to a spot and got it. We threw the kitchen sink at Brown schematically and we just couldn't execute.

I will also not blame Pees for Marty not killing the clock like he should have.

We sang praises to Pees's honor all year until Ben and Brown take us to the woodshed, and all of a sudden Pees is the problem? Fuck outta here with that noise. That doesn't make sense.

The players played like shit, and I think the reality is fans would rather trash the DC than come to terms with the fact that fan favorites like Weddle and Mosley got messed up.

Seriously, CJ mosely..if he were even decent yesterday would have won us the game.
He looks slow and weak.
 
I just had another look at joes contract.

I still cannot believe the cap hit. Him being off our books will feel like the greatest relief from constipation a toilet visit could ever offer.

He's been injured what do you expect... Doesn't help he doesn't have Orr next to him anymore either. Onwuasor has played so inconsistent.

I don't expect him to let a mediocre TE get 25 percent of his season's production in a single game. That's my expectation.
 
one question. taking into account how much we paid brandon williams , how much would we have paid aaron donald if he was our player?
 
Mosley was beaten like a cherokeee drum. I’ve never seen the dude play this bad, ever, period.

Hes clearly struggling with some kind of injury. Leading me to the honest to god question. If he’s struggling enough with an injury to the point where’s he’s a liability, then why are we playing him? Sure, Jimmy wasn’t struggling, but look at what happened there. Mosley is a damn important piece in this defense.

All I can say is he keeps this shit up he’s not gonna get that shiny new contract we would otherwise pay him.

I hope that he never plays that bad again. Jesus he looked like a rookie.

They will pay him and make him the highest paid ILB in the league
just because we reward solid players as if they were HOF'ers

Mosely is most likely playing with an injury, but we need another ilb, Correa or Peanut aren’t cutting it.
