Hall of Famer
Rondale Moore measured in at 5'7, ran an unofficial 4.29 and jumped 42.5 inches in his vertical at Purdue's Pro Day. He essentially jumped way over his height lol.

I would legit love Amon-Ra in the 2nd round. He would bring such a strong attitude to our offense.

needs to sink his hips better when breaking - technique on comebacks and underneath stuff is a bit off

but i do like him as a prospect - and those sorts of technical things are very coachable (and we do now have a route-running specialist in the building)

4.52 is absolutely fine - it's good enough definitely and the 3 cone is really nice

Yeah I’m very high on st brown and I’m torn between him and Dwayne eskridge for my favorite mid day 2 receiver. Elijah Moore should be well out of reach, rondale Moore is too small and injury prone for me, nico Collins is an impressive catcher but he’s gonna fail at dealing with press unless he develops big time, that leaves eskridge and st brown for me, and I can’t decide, one more explosive and stronger, one longer and and taller, both are dogs, I know st brown has the work ethic, I know nothing about eskridge, but considering he was a cb 2 years ago I’d say he’s worked damn hard at his craft

So apparently Chris Simms has comp'd Dyami Brown to OBJ and I do respect Simms but this is trash.

from what i've read simms talked about the brown OBJ comp as being about his speed when the ball's in the air - and i do think that's an interesting comp because dyami does just seem to have an extra gear that he finds when the ball's in the air - might not show up in terms of timed speed

obj's better at the catch-point (not many people in the league are as good as OBJ is at the catch-point) and was more refined coming out of college with his route-running in the intermediate and shorter areas and is a bit looser and more fluid after the catch

but i think you can make some legitimate stylistic comparisons

i do really like dyami though - he's a legit vertical route-runner who could be devastating with the 1v1s he'd get on the outside here

i've got st brown ahead of eskridge - out of those two that's a fairly easy decision for me

elijah moore would be awesome but as you say he's most likely gone by 58 - with you on rondale moore (coming in at 5'7 with his durability history is concerning to say the least), i really like nico collins although im genuinely just not sure about how fast he is (his proday's going to be very interesting tomorrow)

this is how i have day 2 stacked (top 6 all day 1 grades: the 2 bama guys, the 2 LSU guys, bateman and elijah moore so not including them here)

Dyami Brown

Amon-ra St Brown
Amari Rodgers
Nico Collins (pending athletic testing)

D'Wayne Eskridge
Rondale Moore (5'7 was just too small with his injury history and it dropped him basically from early 2 consideration to late 2/early 3 type grade)
Cornell Powell
Kadarius Toney

Tylan Wallace (also pending athletic testing - really intrigued to see how fast he runs)
Josh Palmer

and then here's the guys who're right on the cut-off (i don't count them as day 2 grades but they're designation on my grades is late 3/early 4 - they're potential top 100 type prospects who probably won't be in the top 100 on my board)

Austin Watkins Jr
Cade Johnson
Jaelon Darden
Jonathan Adams Jr
Shi Smith

Wild, I think much higher of eskridge than you do lol. What do you think of marlon Williams from UCF? Might not be an nfl receiver at all but man he looks fun, such a tank playing wr, it’s just fun to watch lol

haha i dont like williams at all - he's a tank who's not particularly fast and doesn't separate - most of his production is YAC which is great but i saw him rundown from behind by a linebacker lol - plays with poor effort when the ball's away

so he's not a technician, not an athletic separator, not got a ton of upside athletically, limited route-tree and i don't think he really knows what he's doing vs zone

his best qualities are his hands and his YAC production

i do really like eskridge - and worth pointing out that the tier he's in is equivalent to a late 2/early 3 type grade - a couple of things make me hesitate with him given his size... he's not amazing working through contact after the catch vs some of the other quick, small, slot guys... and he's likely fairly maxed out given his age - not great ball-tracking and had a few drops - releases show a ton of promise but route-running more generally is pretty simple and fairly basic

so it's not that i don't like him, it's more that there are a few more question marks for me about him than some of the guys ahead of him

i guess the more i watch and think about it... is there any reason why we shouldn't take elijah moore at 27... i like bateman more but i think bateman's going to be gone

not 100% locked in because i havent stacked the board yet - but i'd be surprised if moore doesn't land somewhere close to my top 15... based on my grades right now he's going to be somewhere between 12 and 23 on my board...

Moore, Bateman and Devonta Smith are up there with Calvin Ridley as some of the most refined and deadly route-runners i've studied coming out of college

but Moore has some of the loosest hips i've seen which makes his transitions and breaks incredibly fluid - dude can sell fakes with his whole body without losing speed at the break

I have to simply disagree with a lot of your assessment on him, he’s excellent through contact after the catch and he’s got great awareness to sense aggressive tacklers behind him and elude them, his size is not an issue, 5’10” is not that short lol and if he’s 5’10 180+ then he’s built like a beast, that’s a good ratio for an explosive skill player. he’s a strong solid athlete with good functional strength and just naturally plays with solid leverage and balance, he doesn’t track the ball particularly well through contact but he’s far from a liability there, he attacks the ball and uses depth to separate on horizontal routes, he sets up defenders on quick breaking routes with great body fakes in the stem, making defenders turn hips or take a false step before he breaks on them, active and violent hands at all times, sudden stop ability for comebacks and deep speed to absolutely eat on those throws, good tracking the ball over his shoulder, natural hands plucker, body catches at times but not unnatural or forced body catches like you often saw with Torrey smith.

idk I just don’t see what you’re seeing lol and eskridge is one of my most watched prospects this year.

I’ve literally had this thought in the back of my mind since I watched Elijah Moore’s film, like what would disqualify him from 27th? I literally don’t see anything lol, I’d be hype af if we took him and wouldn’t mind a bit because I just think he’s gonna be an excellent nfl wr and perceived values be damned, I see what I see on film so to hell with the media’s big boards lol

it’s not that I don’t see a lot of great stuff out of eskridge - it’s just that there’s a few things about him that make me nervous vs other guys at the position

if jaelon reagor and Brandon aiyuk can go in the 1st then I don’t see why Elijah Moore can’t or shouldn’t go 27
