With regards to this. Dez is the type of receiver we've been missing since Boldin. Age be damned. Dez may look a tad slower, but he can still be a damn good possession WR for us. Dez and Romo connected because Romo knew how to use a guy like him. Dak is a different type of QB. Dez is a likely bounce back candidate with us. It's why I'd have 0 issues bringing him in. I could see a guy like that meshing with Flacco.
I don't agree with all of his commentary, but I have been stating for awhile that Dez and Dak just didn't click. Not a big reflection of Dak as a QB, but we need a guy like Dez for Joe. I honestly get why the Cowboys would cut him. They need to commit to Dak and anyone who isn't on the same page should probably get out.
I'll take him. He's an easy bounce back candidate in my eyes. I don't buy into the bullshit notion of avoiding 30+ guys. We suck at drafting WRs and Ozzie prefers it this way and over the past god knows how many years we've had only one big failure as of recent(Maclin). Wallace was a success, Steve Smith was a success. Boldin was a success. Mason was a success. Sure, TJ Housh was a little underwhelming and Evans sucked but the track record is better. Dez is a logical choice. Give the man a deal like Alshon Jeffery in terms of situation(not money..). One year prove it deal with incentives and sign the guy to an extension if he can show that he's still got it. Draft multiple WRs in case this fails.
