What Would You Do if You Were Ozzie?

@rossihunter2 do you sleep. I mean it’s 10:15 on the east coast and your up in the uk?

um yeah my sleep pattern at the moment is fucked it's currently 3:30 am here - i got out of bed yesterday at 4pm uk time but had only gone to bed at 6am uk time - im essentially on a healthy pacific time sleeping pattern except im 8 hours out of sync

but also my last tv boss kept asking me if i was a cyborg because i didnt seem to need food or sleep

Crazy. My wife thinks I’m nuts when I go to bed past midnight. Lol

im a 22 year old former student, currently unemployed but who is trying to work in the arts (and does sometimes) and has an interest in american sports and is bad at mornings - id say thats the perfect recipe for an awful sleeping pattern

the last time i went to bed pre-midnight was definitely in august sometime i think

I’m definitely a night person. Always have been and I’m glad I make my own hours. That being said, I can’t sleep the morning away. Especially since Wall Street opens at 10:00am. I have to know what is going on pre opening. Lol

the unemployed part of my above statement is probably the most important bit

I believe the jimmy extension is a gimme. I also agree that go hard after a wr in free agency and in the draft. Wouldn’t be surprised if they kept Wallace if it were a reasonable deal. I doubt we keep Carr with Young coming back and Canady back and healthy, along with Jaylen Hill. I think it’s a position we have suddenly gotten pretty deep at. I wouldn’t be against keeping him, but we need to make some space to sign some offensive playmakers. Howard is also we need to think Long and hard about. Are we going to keep him or move Lewis out to right tackle. Howard at next years current cap number has been a solid signing. We may end up keeping him.
I wouldn't mind if the team chose to keep Wallace at a low cost deal. He's still a solid WR and I'm not buying into the idea that he's a sub-par WR now. I think he can still be effective, Joe just needs to look at him more often downfield when he's open. He had some missed opportunities against the Titans because Joe failed to look towards his way, not the first time it has happened. He would be a really good #3 or 4 and an occasional #2 in case of injuries. He might very well get paid but I just don't know what teams are willing to pay for a guy who is going to be 32 soon, you just never know but I personally think that there's a chance that we could keep him here at a deal that's good for both sides, he certainly likes it here. I think if we let go of Carr and Howard, then there's a good chance we keep Wallace and I wouldn't mind that at all. I've grown to be a fan of the guy.

Keeping Maclin is a no-brainer. Our offense is so much better with him and he is a high end #2 WR. Absolutely a starting caliber WR and I think he's someone you just have to make an exception to when it comes to injuries.

In terms of Carr, man it's unfortunate because he's been great this year, he's had his moments but he's been a rock in the secondary and I don't think he will remain on his current deal, If I can recall Tramon Williams got a 21M/3YR at the age of 32, wouldn't be shocked if Carr gets that type of deal. If we did opt to keep him, I wouldn't be upset tho, just think that cap number is a bit too high for an aging player like Carr.

especially with Humphrey, Young, Canady and Hill on the roster. Humphrey and Young can play outside if necessary, but Young is best in the slot. We have to know that jimmy going down would mean we would only have Humphrey and Young on the outside. I think they may take the option in 2018.

i mean it would essentially be a 3 year 18mill deal for a guy with an option after each year for a guy who showed himself to be a well above average starter at outside corner - and he wouldnt even have to start because hopefully marlon would win that spot - we'd still only be paying 2 guys at corner and only 1 of them would be expensive and that's jimmy

Exactly my thought. Sure it may be a luxury, but we’ve been in a bind before and likely kept us from the super bowl in 2014-15

It's entirely possible that they do take the option, If they do I think it puts Wallace and Howard status going forward in question. I do think Humphrey's could wait another year before starting going forward but he could very well make a huge jump into year 2 but taking the option on Carr gives you a lot of assurance. Young is a question mark returning from injury, but man, with Hill and Canaday back there it really offsets that. We're just loaded at the CB position, hopefully we load up the WR position which I heavily expect us to.

Yes, this offseason, whether it be fa and or draft is going to be an exciting one.

if im honest im not really looking at carr as humphrey insurance for nexy year, im looking at him as jimmy insurance - we've already seen this year how valuable having at least 3 starter level outside corners is

Good point but it goes both ways to me whether it comes down to Jimmy or Humphrey's.

Makes me wonder if we keep him on and try to trade him on his current contract to get more ammo in the draft
