as prospects?

Lamb
Jefferson
Bateman
Hollywood
Jeudy
Deebo Samuel
AJ Brown
Mims
Ruggs

i was very wrong on metcalf

In your defense, when he was coming out I said the best qb he could land with would have been WIlson who will be able to get the most from him. The way Russ places deep throws is perfect for that style of wr. Not to knock DK but think he went to the ideal situation. Him or Rodgers.

there were times through this offseason that i had him at WR 1, 2, 3 and 4

i thought it was a top 4 not a top 3 at WR this year
I know the other 3 are great i guess but if i had to pick one that i know for sure will produce, it would be bateman then moore next lol.. i feel like their skill set translate to the next level the most when it comes to wrs. Chase and smith are dogs too but tbh outside of live games i never watched tape on them cause we nevee stood a chance..
Edit: forgot smith knows how to run routes at full speed somehow, without ever slowing down lol

Yep for sure.. he stills drops the ball and gets open mainly from his athleticism. imo his routes are still terrible. Hard to really like a person like that, especially as raven fans lol

he beats press - just overpowers guys at the line and then explodes downfield
he's never going to be a horizontal weapon but he's an explosive vertical threat who's just to big and powerful and explosive for outside corners to deal with unless they're the elite guys (with physicality) like marlon

Hollywood and Andrews will be huge benefactors of these moves. I think Hollywood is about to go "off." We need to get Bateman going early in the season so they're forced to respect him.

The one negative about Bateman is the slow release. His split is a little too wide (about 1.5 yards) and that causes him to have to take a shuffle step. This can and will be corrected.

i think it might be a coached thing - seen it with some college receivers - that shuffle step especially when faced with a DB lined up at the LoS... but yeah it's not necessary at all vs off-coverage

i wrote about that false step in my notes - but i also dont think it's a big deal at all - if a corner's looking at his feet then bateman's won the rep already lol

but i do agree - slightly narrowing his stance probably gets rid of that false step

And now we have a footwork specialist on staff. I'm not worried about it at all.
