2022 General Draft Thoughts

Name that I've never heard of in the visit pile

fucking hell that's small-school as hell

gotta think he's someone they'd think about moving further inside from guard to C with that frame and length

ive seen maybe only like 2 clips of him - dude can move like crazy

great name for a potential raven though lol

I’m on the Andrew Booth train now. If the board gets destroyed by our pick and it’s between Booth, Jordan D, Penning, Wyatt, GK.. It’s booth for me

Davis has a much higher ceiling, and I think people are underestimating how bad the defensive line is for the Ravens right now. It's the worst it's ever been in franchise history, both in terms of starters and depth. Hell, it could be bottom five in the NFL right now. Even if we make the greatest secondary in NFL history it won't matter with this defensive line.
This is true and frankly it might be dead last in the league.

Jordan Davis just does NOT look anything like a pure run stuffing NT, not even close man. I think Jordan Davis could seriously be a transformational, cornerstone type of player. He’s a real quality football player, clearly has tremendous work ethic(which was the biggest question before he got in dramatically different shape in the offseason to better show the nfl shape he’s aiming to be in) and he’s just one of the freakiest human beings to ever enter the draft, he’s a rare athlete.

One of my favorite tweets that illustrates how freaky Jordan Davis is... his testing numbers input as a CB are higher than his own damn teammate that actually plays the position.

Ya know I really wouldn’t hate to see a trade back where we get Dax hill, he would be such a weapon in our secondary, he would make such a big difference against teams like the browns and Steelers who are probably gonna have good TE play for years, the chiefs with kelce, raiders and waller, We’ve been getting rocked by TEs for years, it would be awesome to have a guy who can stick these athletic TEs but also fight them at the line and attack their catch point, and that same guy can man up on slot receivers as well as an elite nickel, AND play lots of zone and robber and strong safety roles. I’ve forgotten about him a bit, but damn he’d be a big difference maker.

Did people say some of the same things about Donald? He’s just a big run stuffing DT? Davis could go in a similar draft spot

Edit - just realized Donald is insanely smaller lol

I have a legit feeling Hamilton is either gonna slide to us or we’ll be trading up a few spots to get him

I can see it. He’s getting less and less talked about. After the 4.7 pro day.. the hype is pretty much by gone.

If we trade up for him, that’s so much resources to our secondary.. we better be the new “No Fly Zone.”

God I hope so
Say we land Hamilton, I think it would be a fun idea to go the classic 3-4 route with a NT, 3 and 5tech to twogap and address our “mike” backer issue by saying fuck a mike backer and have queen and chuck run both backer spots full time, chuck keeps the red dot, we upgrade the safety position by miles, and our LB tandem gets much better in coverage.

In general I’ve been really on board lately with sacrificing run D a bit to get way better against the pass, nickel is essentially our base defense and I want our roster to reflect that the best it can.

I got a real sneaky feeling the ravens make a small trade up like to 10 or so to land either Hamilton or KT

When KT gets picked 2nd over… that’s gonna be the biggest draft day blue balls I’ve gotten since Corey Davis went 5th overall. A prospect I wanted that had a good chance of falling to us, only to get drafted waaaaay earlier than all these draft experts predicted.

I just don’t see how teams can pass on KT
