2022 General Draft Thoughts

what a shame it would be if now that ridley's done for 2022 at least, that the falcons have to spend that 8th pick on a WR and push another defensive prospect down the board...

wouldnt that be just awful...
Would suck a bag of dicks fr. I mean you got Atlanta, jets, Cleveland, all these teams who need receivers, would hate to see the receiver board cleared out by 14

how would we possibly cope if they went off the board and were left with only edge rushers and corners to choose from instead of the offensive weapons like WR and QB that we clearly need

All I know is if we managed to land Derek stingley, I don’t wanna hear shit about it other than how great of a pick it is. The ravens would never, and should never, pass on a player like that at 14th. There isn’t a better player-team/staff pairing in this draft.

Dnt worry, he will be a raven… after seeing who picks 8,9 and 10… we arent getting him unless we trade up.. not to mention vikes at 12.

After seeing that clip of him vs chase there is no way our staff wouldnt want him vs chase for yrs to come

definitely not, Stingley is one of my favorite players in this draft class and 2nd to Hamilton. That being said, I can't say those injuries don't worry me a bit.

this whole class is a mess - partly because of the QBs - but yeah it's hard to imagine it

i think the hope for us to land a premier talent is that a couple of QBs, a couple of WRs and maybe someone reaches on Penning or Green or a zone team takes linderbaum high, maybe if a team takes nakobe dean and tries to replicate what the cowboys did with parsons... or some team prefers trent mcduffie to one of the other corners - these are all possibilities but we need at least 3 guys we dont really love to go ahead of us so that one of those top 10 guys falls to pick 14
this happens every year. Question is do we take the stud who is right in front of us or trade down and take what is behind curtain number 2.

If there’s a stud you take him in a class that doesn’t seem to have many of them
If there isn’t you work the phones and see if you can move down

But not gonna move down if one of the top 10 guys is there

I think id move down to take daxton if no one else is there cause i dnt want an olineman at 14 lol.

that would definitely be a cool option if the top guys are gone when we get on the clock at 14 - if we could trade down and have a shot at dax hill in the 20s (or later)

With Russ to Denver, I feel like QB has to be in play for Seattle at 9 now. I feel like that’s a team that would really like Willis.

sounds like drew lock is part of the deal so no guarantees they go QB there - could stick with lock and start a rebuild

then again it's also possible that they got a chance to watch willis and fell in love with him there

either way the seahawks are always weird with their draft picks - hopefully that continues

That’s entirely possible, and more to consider is that Washington was rumored to be in on Russ and now they need a qb.

I feel like we are quickly ramping up towards a “who trades up to 2/3 for malik Willis” scenario

QB is going to be an interesting one. Lots of teams have needs so it’s really up to how desperate they want to get. I feel like Pittsburgh is going to be the one team that remains patient while seeing what falls to them while adding a veteran to take the reigns for now. Willis, Pickett, and Corral feel like the only “sure” 1st round picks right now with Howell and Ridder with room to grow based on how the rest of their pre draft process goes.

With the 9th pick in the 2022 Draft, the Seattle Seahawks take........ Brock Purdy, QB, Iowa State

there are rumors that they are interested in Jimmy G also.
