The record was also held by the Steelers too so that's extra motivation to tie and hopefully beat it.
not only that but it's like 50 years old too - rare that a team will ever get a chance at that record ever again

I think Murray is good at picking up extra yards and I think hes deserving of the #2 spot given what we have but hes not going to be making home run plays. We badly need those and right now we only have 1 player capable. I don’t really want to bother with which player is better at X,Y, and Z because based on what the film shows I don’t need an analytical deep dive to know that at this point Williams is the better back. Hes better at hitting the holes quicker, better at making moves, breaking tackles and is overall better in space.Murray right now is clearly our best between the tackles runner

the veer is our most explosive play as well. Lamar's been running the veer ever since he started at Louisville.not that many times - not even close to the amount we ran the veer
Yeah I'm conflicted on the value of Elliott. A good tackler no doubt, but I don't know if he's the kind of player that we must retain, or if it's just that guys like Stephens aren't developed enough yet to replace him, and he's significantly better than anybody else on the roster.A few things I've noticed so far related to these points
- Deshon Elliot's probably the best tackler in the secondary and we've missed him setting the tone etc. on the backend when he's been out
- Tavon's not playing like he did when he got the deal but he's settling in and improving week-to-week which you'd expect after he basically missed 2 years of football
- I hate watching LBs lol (my least favourite position to watch) but might have to watch PQ this week on the coaches film - i really didnt see much that made me think he was a liability yesterday - yes he's not a good tackler and he struggles to get off square blocks but i watching live i didnt think he was bad at all
- Chuck Clark has been awesome through 4 games
first time ive really seen Oweh use his length well as a pass rusher in a ravens jersey - he just keeps adding tools to his belt and combining different elements of his athleticism to be successful

He was the one guy I was pretty sure we were going to let go this offseason, but now I'm not so sure.
Commentators pretty much nailed it by saying "Oweh is a problem for teams". Would really like to see us get somebody else more consistent who can book-end. Obviously couldn't retain him, but would have loved to have seen how Judon and Oweh would have played off each other.
I don’t have the #s on what Latavius is averaging on yards after contact but I don’t think it’s anything significant, also his lack of lateral movement is literally causing us to lose yardage, Williams on the other hand is literally averaging 3.5 yards per contact. The coaches are concerned about his runs but has anyone else been that much better at exposing cutback lanes? Also, I don’t see how you downplay that TD run, Williams took advantage of poor gap integrity but was able to but was able to get away from multiple defenders in that process including the safety who he slipped on a tackle from, thats a play that Murray just cannot make. Also, are we going to downplay this when Latavius longest run of the season is 11 yards? Hes not going proving that hes capable of those long chunk plays that the Ravens have operated on the past few years. Also, look at that Chiefs game and tell me that Ty’son isn’t capable of explosive plays, he actually had plenty of good runs that game outside of the fumble in which he would have scored a TD if Duvernay had simply held onto his block. I think Murray is good in short yardage situations but at this moment thats all I see, he doesn’t even provide value in pass catching where I see Williams as the superior back.idk what analytics you're referring to but im watching film that's telling me that Williams is missing the hole, missing reads... and also he's not a home-run threat - he had 1 explosive play when the defence was committed to stopping 4th and 1 and he got sprung and he did well to score it but most backs would have got a chunk there
Williams has some short-area burst which is nice but it's meaningless if he can't hit the hole
I think Williams is for sure one of the top 3 backs on this roster right now but he might be number 3...

I want Adam Anderson in the draft. I fucking dream of those 2 bookending a 4 man rushCommentators pretty much nailed it by saying "Oweh is a problem for teams". Also, there’s been talk about Williams poor pass blocking but PFF grades Williams as the 4th best pass blocker while Murray is ranked as the 4th lowest.
Even in all 3 phases, Williams has an argument as the better back, this doesn’t mean we have to phase out Murray but giving him 18-20 carries a game would be flat out ineffective.
Was watching with my stepdad yesterday, and I was talking up Oweh, him being the hater he is, said “he wasn’t even blocked”
I said yeah because he’s too good lol
He never was brought in for that role simply because they’re in the process of figuring things out, it seems like the Ravens haven’t had an idea of what they want to do atm. Also he had 18 compared to Freemans 1 and Bells 4. Murray mainly got carries in short yardage situations which is his specialty, I don’t find it to be a weird argument since he played 62% of snaps compared to Bells 20% and Freemans 6%, it’s obvious that he played a lead back role for this game and it was difficult to commit to the run given the lack of success. He had 17 snaps in the first half compared to Bells 9 and Freemans 6. They gave Bell a look in the first half but Murray got the bulk of the carries in the first half. That’s a lot IMO for a guy who doesn’t have a role in passing situations nor has displayed pass block efficiency this year. This is compared to Bell is a proven asset in the passing game and blocking.this is a bit of a weird set of arguments for a couple of reasons - williams hasnt been brought in to be our 3rd down back and so hasnt done it much - id say its pretty clear that's what lev bell's going to be for...
and in terms of the carries - Murray only got 18 carries yesterday because we had a 2 score lead and were salting the lead away
Ben Cleveland playing running back on that play would have scored.idk what analytics you're referring to but im watching film that's telling me that Williams is missing the hole, missing reads... and also he's not a home-run threat - he had 1 explosive play when the defence was committed to stopping 4th and 1 and he got sprung and he did well to score it but most backs would have got a chunk there
