i had been lol but it was all over twitter - id forgotten how much it normally sucks to be anywhere around the nfl or nfl social media after losses before this 4 game losing streak where everyone's sort of been resigned to it haha - but for some reason this game struck differently and i wasnt expecting to be completely surrounded by idiots on a monday lol
Without doing the research I’m gonna guess most of those guys are on their second vet contract.

Then the Raven's need to start drafting to beat them, just like they used to with the Steelers
Think the only one on their "third" deal is Cooks.
Right, almost. Pay attention, you’ll thank me one day. lolOk boomer
So basically they have been drafting better than usi mean what does that look like to you?
more corners?
to me i think it just means getting healthier and adding more young talent all over the defence... there's nothing specific about the bengals right now that i think means you can draft specifically to beat them - they're a young team with lots of high picks at the skill positions and a defence that they've just spent a load of good money retooling
So basically they have been drafting better than us
Especially Reddit. They still use the dumb ass Dextors Labatory meme despite it being iconic for our Titans choke loss in 2019The Lamar love and influx of new obnoxious fans have shifted a lot of hate our way. Reddit and twitter are breeding grounds for idiots. Honestly don't blame a lot of other fan bases because I even have some resentment for the Ravens fans I see on those platforms.
They wanted to go for their passing record, that's fine. Don't make up shit to justify something we wouldn't have had a problem with in the first place.
I don't have an issue with teams continuing to play their game. It's up to us to stop it. However, this tweet does show we pulled Lamar in the 4th quarter.
Exactly, now the new narrative from Bengal fans is that Wink sent a zero blitz and that was what Burrow and Taylor are mad about. They can’t just admit they were padding stats and chasing records against a practice squadThey wanted to go for their passing record, that's fine. Don't make up shit to justify something we wouldn't have had a problem with in the first place.
The Ravens should have a lot of large cap hits coming off the books next year (BWill, Campbell, Thomas). I'd imagine they'll cut Villanueava because his play at RT was horrendous, but that'll largely depend on Stanley, I suppose. I'd think they'd want to try to extend Peters and lower his cap hit number. And the cap goes up.Well, in defense, where are you coming up with the funds to pay $40M+ to a QB and paying top quality wide receivers, a TE market value, and various other offensive lineman, at the same time?
Granted, some of these won't be at the same time, but I certainly don't think "he's the best we've ever drafted at the position" is a justifiable reason to give a market value contract extension to a player. I could make a case that's literally the worst reason to pay a player. That's like giving somebody who's way past their prime a fat contract because "they're a HOFer". Who gives a shit?
I think we'll pay Hollywood, so I think this discussion is moot. But if we didn't, I could see why not. I think there's plenty of people that would be asking if he'll be as good at 28-30 as he is now. And if we don't think he is, why are we paying him?
One of the biggest failures of the FO in prior years is we don't pay ascending players. It's not easy to judge who they are, but when you think you've got one, we should pay them.
To be fair, that meme was used well before the Titans game.Especially Reddit. They still use the dumb ass Dextors Labatory meme despite it being iconic for our Titans choke loss in 2019

But like you said- the Ravens will have to be picky with who they're able to offer high contracts to, but I wouldn't think offering Brown a contract that's market level for good-great receivers is out of the question. That's probably 5 years $75M. I don't think that's exceedingly crazy.
And I agree- being the skinniest kid at fat camp doesn't mean a lot, but Brown isn't simply the best receiver the Ravens have drafted... he's just legitimately good. He's consistently shown growth as a receiver and can work any level of the field. He's shown strong hands this season sans Detroit. Despite his speed, he's shown to be a reliable target in the short passing game for Huntley and Johnson.
I think it'd be a mistake to let Brown leave given his ascending production and his growth as a receiver. Not to mention he just shows up in the playoffs.
I don't get the disdain for Hollywood. The guy has put up a ton of catches and nearly 1000 yards so far with virtually no deep passing game to speak of. He's transformed himself into more than just a deep threat and can work all levels of the field. Imagine what can happen if you improve that OL and give some plays time to develop. Yeah it sucks that he's tiny as shit and can't fight for those extra yards like some guys do, but he's consistent and reliable for us which is something I didn't think you'd be saying. He's a damn good WR even if he doesn't fit the "prototype" WR1 mold.
literally only 2 things he’s not good at... breaking tackles and high pointing in contested situations which are both pretty understandable given his height and build
but he’s a weapon who can align anywhere and destroy guys in both press and off, man and zone and gash teams at all 3 levels
