so you're telling me that 107 yards per game are not big playoff numbers?
he also had huntley miss him on a bomb against the bills where he dusted tre white off the line that would make these stats look ridiculous
I think it's his small stature, he's constantly making business decisions to avoid contact. Seems at times he may be thinking more about that than catching the ball or getting to the sticks.
Umm, did he show up in yesterday's "big" game (not the last 3 years etc.) Yesterday? C'mon now!
Why is the Hollywood contract such a big discussion right now? He’s almost surely getting the 5th year option so we’re still 2 years away and we have no idea what the market will be at that time. There’s not much sense in discussing it right now.
TDam we really went on a 6 game losing streak and fourth in the division huh...
The Lamar factor , simple as that .Dam we really went on a 6 game losing streak and fourth in the division huh...
Hollywood was 6th in the league in REC yards at one point and I know some people don't respect PFF but he was highly graded there. Him and Lamar were killing the play-action but that died down because teams literally lost respect for the Ravens RBs. I think out of everyone on this team outside of Lamar he's suffered the most from a drop off in OL play and run game.
With a better OL, elite run game and Lamar, I think this guy will produce with some of the best in the league. It wouldn't surprise me to see him in the top 10 in both REC yards and REC TDs next season.
If you go back and look at his draft analysis one of his negatives was his physical stature, and his inability to win those 50/50 battles with DB’s. It is playing out in front of us, and in some cases worse. That drop in the end zone last night was caused by him knowing he was gonna take a big hit. It’s in his head and causing him to fold up on some big opportunities.I think it's his small stature, he's constantly making business decisions to avoid contact. I'm not sure about AJ Brown being a better option. I like him but his injury issues would have me think twice on whether to even give him a second contract.AJ Brown lol
Marquise has been good here. He just has a few mistakes that have been costly but everyone has issues. I think he will continue to improve and has improved every year IMHO. Compared to the other guys in his draft it's hard to say he's a bad pick but I do still think AJ Brown was a better option. That said, Hollywood has been good and has been a good fit here.
and next year we have 3 1k yard receivers. lolespecially with andrews in all-pro form and bateman coming on - hollywood's gonna see so much space downfield or he's going to draw a safety and leave bateman 1v1 on the outside
as long as we've got a pocket that lamar can trust - these receivers will eat
Yeah true but coming out that was the guy I liked better. Would’ve been hard to predict the injuries and yeah would make you question another deal.I'm not sure about AJ Brown being a better option. yes, could be more based on when they give him the offer. If it's in two years it will be much more, especially with the new TV deals. I'd rather give him the deal early and save a few million. Not saying this offseason, but early.I don't think Hollywood would even consider staying here for $15M a year. I think the people suggesting that range aren't realistically in the right range.
I have to say. I went from not liking him to having Hollywood and Brown two of my favorite options. I wanted one of the Browns and didn't care which one. Deebo was my 3rd favorite but his hamstring issues he had in college scared me.Yeah true but coming out that was the guy I liked better. I used someone else's numbers. It was mentioned earlier in either this thread or another one. Not sure who originally posted it.Where did you get this 14-16 million range? If he wants let's say 18+ do you think he is still worth it?
idk that id really call yesterday a big game but sure he had 1... maybe 2 plays that you'd want back although on the sideline grab im putting that more on a great play by minkah fitzpatrick - the goal-line one he should have held onto even though huntley cannoned it in there
but idk what to tell you - did anyone other than mark andrews show up in yesterday's supposed big game
and just to be clear... if yesterday counts as a big game - what doesnt count as a big game?
He's not taking $15M a year today either.yes, could be more based on when they give him the offer. If it's in two years it will be much more, especially with the new TV deals. I'd rather give him the deal early and save a few million. Not saying this offseason, but early.
That won't be from us, although it really depends on where the salary cap is as well. Just dont think we pay him that much and at this point it will be how much he wants to stay with Lamar.I would be surprised if Brown doesn’t get around 18M/year
