Lamar Jackson

Flacco do it every year
Do what every year? Throw for 3500 yds? Sure he does in the NFL with 16 games. Lamar threw that yardage in 13 games. More importantly he ran for 1500 yds as well! If you combine the two it is 5000 yds gained in 13 games. Now what were you saying about Flacco??

I want to see lamar play and do well but we getting ahead of ouselves here. im telling you that throwing for x amount yards dont make you an accurate or even good qb. Idc if flacco threw for 6k, he is still trash. i watched lamar since highschool and is a big fan. He 100% had accruacy issues. Maybe its his mechanics or maybe its not but we will soon find out.

To get it back on track. I think when Harbaugh is fired and Flacco is traded... Marty is going too, I don't buy into the BS that he is "integral to Lamar's development" when Marty seldom uses him correctly anyways. I think Roman and Urban are the only two members of the staff that need to be retained. Urban for obvious reason but Roman because of what we've done on oline. Orlando Brown and Bradley Bozeman are absolutely atrocious fits in zone schemes. A lot of the coaches on the market that are offensive guys are zone running guys. Not to mention... Roman is kind of the perfect OC for Lamar. Lamar heavily attacks the middle of the field and loves using TEs and RBs in the passing attack. Roman was kind of great at that when he was an OC.

Lamar, if we fix this oline, next season could be an absolute nightmare for opposing DCs to deal with. His mechanics have improved tenfold and he had a lot of franchise QB traits to begin with. He needs more tweaking but the tools are there.

I dont trust this coaching staff at all to use LJ correctly, it shows. The offensive blocking schemes they are running just isnt efficient, asking guards to pull and make almost impossible blocks. I wasnt a fan of the LJ pick, but im excited to see what he can do. I am in firm believe that LJ was DeCosta's pick and next year DeCosta will bring in his own HC

I agree

You can't compare NFL stats to college stats. Flacco does it against NFL defense. Lamar did that against college defenses, against a lot of guys that will never even play in the NFL. Hell, Peterman ripped apart college defenses and put up huge stats.

that's the whole point - someone said that 3500 yards was easy because flacco does it all the time so this was the response...

How many pass attempts do you think LJ goes for in a season? Id put the number around 450ish and around 80 rushes. Thats around 6 rushes a games, i could live with that, prolly three designed and three scrambles. Hopefully he just doesnt tuck and run a lot

At least thats where id like the numbers

Bobby Petrino is done in Louisville. Could be interesting if we landed him for an OC job.

I'm thinking Cam's number of rushes vs passes is a good indicator of what Lamar might do. He's really the only current QB that compares to Lamar's skill set, even if they have different run styles.

Could also base it on what Vick did during his Eagles' run, since that might be Lamar's ceiling.

Yea lets just hope he can surpass Cam's completion percentage

Lol i never said it was easy. He said lamar isnt as an inaccurate as people say cause he throws for 3500 yrds in college.. i told him you can be inaccruate and still throw for that much cause flacco does it every yr.

it would depend on the game - not in terms of designed runs etc. but in terms of what the defence offers on any given play - we will use RPO which will mean the defence will have a choice of whether they want to get beaten by Lamar or the RB or potentially leave a pass open for a triple option play
