Lamar Jackson

He is but overall he hasn’t played that well in the playoffs.
I agree. I do think we trade him, but if not, I’d love to see how he’d perform with actual NFL-talent at WR and a competent play caller

I would to because I have little doubt with a couple of excellent receivers we could win a Super Bowl with Lamar

I think Lamar is as good as gone . I think he is completely hung up on getting Watson’s deal of 100 % guaranteed.
And while the Ravens won’t give him that , I do think there are some dumb franchises like the Falcons or Jets that will.
Almost as dumb as Spencer Schultz, huh?

No such thing as unreasonable expectations when youre the position that lamar is in..not saying he should ask for a billion dollars but, whatever he is asking for, no one can tell him its unreasonable..fk an agent
I mean it's not like he's been consistently performing at a high level, or even won a boatload of tournament games. Add in missing the latter part of the last 2 seasons...... I just don't see him being in some great bargaining position, at least with the Ravens.

...and that's where I am too. I mean I don't see how two incomplete seasons help him getting a much bigger offer than what was reported last year. I get that it's negotiation, but betting on himself and then winding up twice injured is not going to command much over whatever the present value of the old deal was. Inflation makes it go up, but not by much... for us, anyway, imo.

Now for another team other than the Ravens, I think there are depths of stupid like the Land of Cleve at every turn. It's just who chooses to be the dumbest and when. Maybe none are that enamored with Lamar, but I find that hard to believe. I just think there is at least one team in the league that will see Lamar as even potentially available and will sell the farm to have him. And the Ravens will be smart enough to capitalize on that knowing they have their number for him and if someone is willing to go over that they will be just as happy to take the capital they offer for getting him.

Soon as we get rid of lamar and “ capitalize”… we will be the worst team in division

Clev isnt bad at all..i dnt think watson will look that terrible again
I want with all my might that he does. It's not that they are bad, I just need them to be. Teams like Cleveland can't be rewarded to doing what they did involving el diablo.

Was reading an article from Mike Sando on The Athletic and he addressed the Lamar situation. Said he expects him to play on the tag in 2023, but isn't convinced that the Ravens won't risk it and do the non-exclusive and let other teams negotiate for us. Basically said he doesn't feel the market for Lamar will be near as robust as many think, largely due to his contract demands, the trade package in return, and the fact that you'd need to build an entirely new offense around him (which is hard without those picks).

Did mention the risk associated with a non-exclusive tag as well.
