yes, 2016 was the last game. I know we came back against the Browns that year (kick 6) and another one later in the year. Can't remember who it was against though.Isn't this the first time we've won a game trailing in a while?
It's because Marty comes from Paleozoic and Harbs is incompetent on that side of the ball and lets offensive authority do whatever authority thinks is best.So I can recall ONE bootleg. It was out of a heavy set, we hit a WIDE open nick Boyle and he tumbled for a 12 yard gain or so.
The question is... with the run game working so well, lamar being a very good thrower on the run, and our TEs being the strength of this offense... why the hell did we only call one? If you want lamar to throw more, run more boots, use hurst out of the H back or inline, let him chip and break away for the out and get downfield with the ball, let Andrews be the 2nd read about 8 yards deep streaking across the field. Use the damn bootleg, it’s the most effective pass play for a mobile qb, it scares the LB and sucks them in giving the TE a nice soft zone to catch it in, all it takes is a little touch to get it there, and if the LB/S isn’t sucked in then lamar makes them pay with his legs.
We need boots and waggles, and we need RPOs with the P actually involved.
I don't like Marty's playcalling at all, but I do like what Urban has taught him so far.I’m not saying Joe Flacco hasn’t under performed at times. But I have zero faith in them are Jackson to be a long-term starting successful franchise quarterback. His ceiling is Michael Vick and his most likely trajectory is RG3.

A ceiling of Michael Vick is a high ass ceiling, if those early 2000s falcons knew how to build a team they would’ve won at least one super bowl, he CARRIED a trash team to a NFCCG very early in his career.I’m not saying Joe Flacco hasn’t under performed at times. We also came back against the Broncos this season, unless you only count trailing in the 4th quarter.yes, 2016 was the last game. I know we came back against the Browns that year (kick 6) and another one later in the year. Can't remember who it was against though.
Yes, trailing in the 4th qtrWe also came back against the Broncos this season, unless you only count trailing in the 4th quarter.
Last time was against the Jags in 2016. Crazy 4th quarter with back-to-back-to-back ints.Yes, trailing in the 4th qtr
Here’s my issue with how people are evaluating lamar, so many are saying things like “what if the defense stacks the box and forces you to pass?” Uhhh... you pass. Duh. I understand lamar isn’t some elite passer, but the guy isn’t completely incapable of throwing a goddamn football, why are people acting like he literally can not throw a football to save his life? He’s not the best passer but with his run threat and what his presence does to manipulate a defense, he only needs to be adequate, which I think he certainly is.
Not to mention, they stacked the shit out of the box and dared us to pass, we still ran it right up their buttholes. You think the bengals were expecting a pass heavy game and didn’t stack the box? How are people not seeing the obvious here?
We need to start passing more right now. We can't run QB into the ground, this shit has to stop before some 250lbs linebacker kills Lamar. Here’s my issue with how people are evaluating lamar, so many are saying things like “what if the defense stacks the box and forces you to pass?” Uhhh... you pass. Lamar Jackson performed as I expected. He confirmed my concerns but also showed a lot of promise. I will always be concerned when a QB has more rush yards and rush attempts than pass yards and pass attempts. However, I'm an ardent believe in taking what the defense gives you and doing what it takes to move the chains. He did show the ability to make good throws. He generally hit receivers in stride and had timing -- two things Joe has rarely done.
If the incessant running turns into a trend, I'll begin to cast doubt. But for now, I'm content with his performance and looking forward to him starting the rest of the season.
I just saw a video with Prime, Sharpe and LT talking about whether Lamar should continue at QB. Interesting points of view. You should check it out. It's posted on BR.com right now.I’d agree I don’t think anyone knows what’ll happen at QB. It’s all guesswork. It’s a tough spot for Harbaugh to be sure but I just think it’ll be tough to also move away from Joe even if Lamar lights up these two teams because they are relatively bad defenses but to be fair CIN always gives us fits except for some outliers so hey who knows. I just liked what I saw and I’d like to see more of it but I want to see him throw more. I think he can do it but I want to see it happen you know? I love the guy’s moxie—he doesn’t seem to fold when pressured.
He passed for more yards than he rushed and had a really efficient day. The whole “learn to slide” panic is overblown, first drive he was going too hard but after that he was mostly taking the zone read(I refuse to call it RPO until the pass is implemented as a real threat) up the field and out of bounds, he was running in space for 3 1/2 quarters, one drive he was out there acting like a RB and he took 2 big hits and started to take it easy(the Kirkpatrick hit was borderline dirty and he obviously was taking shots at lamar there).Lamar Jackson performed as I expected. There is still no reason for concern or doubt in his passing, he did well there, I really don’t understand the constant shitting on the kids arm, the run game worked incredibly well so why throw it? Ravens fans begged for us to run the damn ball more despite it clearly not working, then when it works to an incredible level you all call for more passing, and in that same breath you’ll shit on Marty for suddenly going away from what’s working.. can’t please these people... 13-19 for 150 is an efficient day, Flacco has had a shitload of days where he threw for less than 200 with way more attempts and no rushing yards.
