Lamar Jackson

As much as everyone is praising Lamar. He has his issues with accuracy.
The funny thing is, I wasn't even being critical of Lamar. I'm simply denying that there has been this massive progression that they are proclaiming.
It's comical at this point.
youll get used to it on this forum. As most of these users fall into group think and confirmation bias

No the fact is the same crap has been going on for weeks now , people who are super excited about Lamar are seemingly easily triggered by those who even just moderately optimistic but also pumping he breaks on some of the homerism and sensationalism around the former group.

That’s a generalization and not meant as an attack. It just seems everyone is super defensive, particularly on the Lamar Jackson side.

Those who are even “Flacco apologists” aren’t trashing Lamar at all, plenty are happy we are winning and optimistic about Lamar - but the opinions ranging from wanting Joe to start , to wanting Joe just to play a little or come in potentially come playoff time or critical moments - to even those who just don’t want to trash Joe and crown Lamar - those opinions have low tolerance among the majority here. That’s just facts man.

Funny, cause many had to deal with this for 11 years.

Oh look at you, how insightful.
He doesn't need your advice - he's been on Ravens boards since the invention of the Internet.

i dont know i just find it tiring when i get excited about lamar doing something good and someone comes into the lamar thread and starts talking about flacco or how they havent seen anything new from lamar

well if you havent seen anything new then you havent got anything to add

criticism and constructive criticism have always been welcome here when people bring well-thought-out arguments and clips etc. to the table
i frequently find clips and analyses and stats of lamar's play to post all over the forum demonstrating certain things and people discuss what it is they get from that info

nobody has any problem with people having different opinions of lamar, especially when you bring things to the table to supplement those opinions

the problem comes when people jump in the thread and make inane comments that are borderline trolling

When Lamar makes the playoffs and wins some playoff games few years in a row , he’ll get the same treatment Joe got as far as pushback against the haters. When he wins a super bowl with a record setting performance and a MVP award, he’ll get a pass for some years where he struggles, he’ll get benefit of the doubt that the coaching and team aren’t doing enough.

Until then, it’s not comparable.

Yes because calling him lamartebow8 and saying he hasn’t made any notable progress is “pumping the brakes” on the optimism...

We all have pumped the brakes on the kid, as noted earlier we all were nervous about whether or not he’ll be able to pass and shit most of us still are. I personally am not attacking people who are just having a moderate opinion, I’m disputing some of the bullshit narratives. Just like you disputed that lamar gives us a better chance to win for the past month, except that’s not a bullshit narrative, that’s a worthwhile debate that we all engaged in(and yeah it got toxic at times) but to say he hasn’t made any notable progress is just blindly bashing followed with a weak backpedal to make it look like it isn’t.

given how much debate/argument there is about ravens qbs literally all the time i think it's fairly self evident that group think is not that prevalent here

He has us on a playoff run after what many thought was a sunk season and is still getting push back after doing his part to go toe to toe with possibly the best team in the AFC. Joe sucked for basically 5 of 6 years and people are still here hoping he breaks out next year. Whatever you say, guy.

Right @Militant X 1 ... we still waiting for the break out season.

Appreciate the SB, but it's been time to move on.

LOL!!!

Sorry Mod’s for the toxic back and forths, but apologists can’t move on from 6 years ago and need a reality check. Let’s go Lamar!

We have a winner.

There’s always one person trying to debate while a hoard of users try to gang up on him because his views don’t fit the narrative. Sounds like group think to me.

LJ’s running abilities have gone a long way in covering up inadequacies in the O line and putting us back into contention for a spot in the tournament. I’m sure his footwork and mechanics have improved since the beginning of the year, he’s now being coached and mentored by NFL players and coaches. While there’s definitely reasons to be optimistic the point Fly and others are making is that we have no idea if he will be what is considered a franchise QB, or the future long time QB of the Ravens. There’s obviously still improvement needed, he’s a 21 yo rookie for god’s sake, and a lot of situations not yet experienced where he will need to prove he can handle pressure and adversity. We all hope Lamar will pan out but some just need to pump the brakes on crowning him king.
The fact that not a single person had any negative replies to this post from a known Flacco homer, is evidence enough that us lamar fans aren’t breaking out the torch and pitchforks over any little criticism, the fact is that tank make a well thought out post and articulated his point of view without coming off like a little shitbird and making ridiculous sweeping statements.

Okay, well, I tried to be the nice guy.. but go ahead and keep stroking Joe’s balls, apologist. Stick a fork in him. He’s done. There’s a huge difference between questioning someone’s intelligence and being a homer, dumb ass.

Are you blowing the mods here or something? Why did they delete my very reasonable response to this tripe, but this still stands?
Btw, I'm not asking YOU, I expect the mod who deleted my reply to answer to this.

It’s not there anymore. Get those eyes checked, old man.
