Lamar Jackson

i completely disagree - i dont see this "toesie" on lamar's tape much at all - what i see is his base occasionally shortening too much and his front leg not being consistent to create power which can cause some throws to miss a little high but it's not a huge adjustment to make

but his footwork in general is so clean at this point, it's awesome to see

Fair enough, I'd disagree. His footwork got better obviously, but still isn't consistent enough to put the ball exactly where he wants on every play. Personally wouldn't consider an inconsistent dropback clean too.

His footwork is much better than Joe Flacco’s

Saw this on Reddit. How in the world do you even play through that???

Cant wait for LJ to Hollywood 2020...

Honest question: if we make the playoffs next season, go one-and-done AGAIN, and Lamar has another underwhelming performance, would you still view him the same or would it change to some extent? We will NEVER hear the end of it if this happens.

i think it would be impossible to say without the context - i wouldnt put a huge amount of this year's loss on lamar where i would the year before (but he was a rookie thrown into the fire)

if after those 2 losses he has a shocker then maybe its time to start asking those questions

if we lose but its not on him then the conversation wont really have shifted from this year tbh

you're right that we wouldnt hear the end of it though

I don't think it should change the perception of Lamar.

Peyton Manning had very limited playoff success early in his career, the Colts didn't give up on him. Manning ended up winning 2 super bowls so of course nobody remembers that.

It's very hard to win in the playoffs, I wouldn't put the Titan game on Lamar. Two failed 4th and short conversions and the INT off Andrews hands on the first Raven drive, it was a very uncharacteristic Raven game and not all on LJ

Andrews and Ingram , our two biggest weapons, get seriously hurt at the worst time is a MAJOR factor in the loss.

Was just thinking that maybe lamar missed his chance at throwing for 40tds by not playing in basically 2 games.
he absolutely would have had over 40 TDs, but that really doesn't get brought up in the media and I don't care if he had 40 Tds last season and I'm sure you feel the same way. He had a terrific season.

i know warren sharp consults with some NFL teams and i really wonder if the ravens are one of them - its not just that he understands the analytics involved with analysing the ravens, it's that he's seemingly on top of what trends and analytics the ravens are actively using/reacting to as they happen - just get a sense that he has a working relationship with the ravens analytics guys

Oh yea for sure.. i was just saying though he may never get that chance again though. His resume would look so much better with a 40td on it. Just thinking that down the line, it may get brought up while discussing him

this was his first year starting, I have absolutely no doubt he has that opportunity again.
