So here’s the rebuttal to that, if we don’t pay Lamar, the other option is scrap it all and rebuild and hope we find a franchise qb, and that is never a given, the browns took baker mayfield first overall and he ain’t about shit, and Sam darnold was considered by many the superior prospect but he’s been horrible. Franchise qbs don’t just grow on trees, neither do strong rosters.
we have a qb that has never been seen before and will likely never be seen again, there will never be another Lamar Jackson, he is quite literally the first and possibly only of his kind, and he’s a raven, and I can’t entertain the thought for even half a second that we do anything but secure him until his wheels fall off. Cap be damned, you keep a player like that on your team.
