lombardi's one of the worst
if there's rumours around and zrebiec doesnt have anything on it or any knowledge of it at all when asked (and he's normally forthcoming when fans ask him about rumours) then it's 100% not a thing
in terms of contracts and off-field stuff all we've heard so far this offseason from zrebiec in terms of tidbits is that the ravens are far apart in contract talks with both bozeman and ricard
the 2 lamar rumours lombardi mentions there are both utterly ridiculous lol
- lamar's not getting traded and the only "rumour" about that was a random washington fan article
- lamar's off-field "activities" are also not in question at all... by all accounts he's incredibly private, spends his time with his daughter and stays out of trouble - he's also notably one of the hardest workers on the team and incredibly accountable... it's the kind of assertion that really should be explained and contextualised or it just sounds like baseless insinuation
then again ive never liked lombardi and think a lot of the people who write for that site are pretty not great at it
The funny think is that it all started with BarstoolBanks' report that there are some things they're holding under wraps and if they come out, it could get wild. Somehow that turned into Lamar is on the trade block and it's because of clickbaity shit that Lombardi spews.
Banks does have some good connects and is generally right, and maybe it does go down a bad path, but people just love to take speculation and run with it.
I hate the new "fans" that came with Lamar because they believe everything they read even if there's no substance. I did a quick visit to RSR just out of curiosity and they're spouting rumors from Reddit now where apparently Lamar isn't listening to coaches and he's running with the wrong people and even to the point that he has a drug problem and was high during the CLE game. I backed out quickly.
ive seen that banks article but like it's a leap to going from "there's shit that will make your head spin" to lamar's on the trade block and has been doing stuff that's put the team in jeopardy behind the scenes...
banks has broken some stuff before and that's cool
but normally stuff that other guys confirm pretty soon after - and it's notable he's said nothing at all about anything specific which suggests to me that whatever it is he think he's hearing he's not even sure about it either
but if there is something - id really like them to rip the band aid off now because this offseason and ravens fans everywhere have been probably the most unbearable i can remember in spaces that normally havent been that bad

I'm actually really surprised Banks went the vague route in an article and not just on Twitter. He's usually money when he knows something. But as you said, it might be a true case of something he's heard and not something he knows.
But yeah I agree. That's why I like it here. We have some nut jobs but we're mostly level headed people who know what things to take at face value and what things to discard.

ravens fandom is becoming literally one of the worst places to be on social media
so toxic everywhere - even finally spreading to the places it hasnt previously managed to get to - it really feels like it's here that's left with some of these insane takes im seeing everywhere
like obviously lamar's deal and greg roman and all that stuff is fine - but it's literally taken over every other space so that literally nothing else can breathe
