Next Up: @Steelers

i hope so.

i hope suggs and weddle is a day off thing. I won't be upset is brandon carr is finally out of his first game in his career because he can't cover anyone on the steelers roster.

looks like a lot of days off to me

kenny young apparently had an illness but still managed to practice some
hayden hurst apparently looked like he was moving fine to the reporters on the practice field (only question now is whether the 3-4 practices he gets this week will be enough to activate him for sunday)

If our defense plays well enough, meaning constant pressure on Ben and forcing some turnovers....this could be a blow out. I dont see them covering Brown, Snead, Andrews, and Crabtree. The middle of their defense is just as weak as their corners. We'll have guys open all day

I know it’s the Steelers, but I think I would prefer if Hurst had another full week of practice prior to playing. Then again we don’t what he’s been doing outside of practices, could be ready to roll.

As long he's healthy then I think he should be ready to go without much practice. Just don't rush him back if it's going to cause any setbacks with his ongoing recovery. Andrews has been playing very well so let him sit out if he still needs time to recover.

Stanley is banged up everywhere. I'd let the guy rest. Elbow, Foot god knows what else.

The steelers are a good front but not as good as the bengals or denver. Run down the right with Marshal and Orlando Brown.

I feel 5 1/2 weeks is the bare minimum. I penciled the titans game as the most logical and safest bet for hayden.

What the fuck is going on with willie henry? that's what I want to know..

the latest injury report said abdomen

IM aware he had an operation on the 22nd of last month but it's almost october. Did he have a setback?

i mean if its an umbilical hernia or something like that its probably excruciatingly painful even if its close to fully healed - they said that he was seeing specialists this week for an update but that its not a normal sports injury so they arent as sure on the timeline as they were for hurst

initial reports said he'd be out 4-5 weeks which would make this a little earlier than expected but Clifton Brown has reported that it's possible Henry might even start practicing sometime this week

i doubt he'd play this sunday though - and maybe the browns might be too early for him too but we'll see

I think Zrebiec made a good point in pointing towards our injuries whether Hurst will play or not. You would definitely like to have him there because he's your first round pick and would give him some valuable reps. Then again you have to wonder if he's good enough to activate given the injuries we have and the fact that he doesn't play ST.

Then again, you're going to have to put him out there for sure later on down the season so you might as well activate him and have him out there if he's good to go.

I don’t see this as being a blowout. Divisional games are normally close no matter how good or bad a team is and that is due to the familiarity of the team to each other. I’d love it to be a blowout, but I don’t see that happening. I see it as a nail biter and one that we win and close out.

Sadly they seem to be getting healther. There O line will be back to full strength with gilbert and de castro. Burnett is a huge boost for them also. The only potential loss is hilton.

Their DBS will be

Artie Burns
Joe Haden
Sean Davis
Morgan Burnett

That's not as bad as people think. Without CJ and Jimmy it's not much worse than what we have to offer.

Yeah let’s leave out the top nickel guy, as if that’s not a crucial position where we have the clear edge...

Aside from Carr, I’d take our worst starting db over their best.

And something that hasn’t been mentioned enough... when we play the Steelers we gameplan the whole week and obviously key in on stopping bell, I don’t mean stop the run game, I mean stop bell. The Steelers haven’t faced a proven quality defense yet without bell, the difference in freedom we have to make plays and assign guys to different tasks is massive.
