Coaching Carousel 2024

How in the world did they satisfy the Rooney rule that fast? NFL will certainly be asking some questions.

teams can pay a fine if they want... iirc think the raiders did when they hired gruden

but not team can satisfy the rooney rule until after the divisional round anyway because the rooney rule wants external in-person interviews and the teams arent allowed to interview anyone in person until that point

no way the Pats are introducing any coach today, it's probably just Kraft speaking. There is no way they satisfied the Rooney Rule, which is 2 minority candidates outside of the organization.

Does anyone think for one second BB if he wants to continue coaching would take a DC role? Given the extreme number of openings the already low likelihood is even lower but I wonder what some of these really old guys are thinking? Did Saban retire because he's done? Did Alabama push him out? Does he just want something new?

Would be floored. If he wants to keep coaching, it's almost surely going to be as head coach.

I don't. He is from annapolis and that's the closest he comes to working with a new owner again. I think Washington wants to hire a GM first and let the GM choose the HC and not the other way around. BB doesn't pick good groceries.

oops, thought you meant the 'Washington' DC job. Completely missed that you thought Defensive Coordinator. Absolutely not, not when he's about 15 games away from breaking Don Shula's record. Bill Belichick has won 333 games, Shula 347. Includes postseason

Nobody makes decisions for Saban. Only Saban.

Macdonald gets poached and Bill Belichek comes in back to his dad's stomping ground, his Colts history, and his Browns lineage. ;)

Vrabel is Korean?!
