The 2024 Offseason Thread

Being the greatest player isn’t necessarily the deciding factor for me, Suggs was the face of our franchise for a hot minute, flacco was playing poorly and sizzle was the vocal leader and best player on the roster in the period where we went from ray and Ed and Joe into the Lamar era. When Joe failed to take those reins sizzle held it down all those years.

To me it’s ray, Ed, sizzle, Joe. Those guys have defined the ravens franchise thus far more than anyone. At this trajectory it could be Lamar and Tucker taking Suggs and joes spot in a decade, but it would take a ring for them to do that, and I know Tucker has a ring but if he helps us get another and does so with Lamar then I think you gotta bypass the 2012 SB OGs
Dude! The AVATAR! Lol!

Ray, Ed, Ogden, Joe. Sizzle is already out for me. Either Joe or Ogden is out if Lamar wins a ring. I would probably move Ogden out, but that just feels wrong; yet so does taking Joe out...

Joe over Sizzle? I know Joe had that run for us but over SIZZLE?

I’m sure the owners will find a way to push these cost on the local consumer some how

Late stage government subsidized capitalism baby, that’s how we roll in god’s country. Yeeyee and such. Uber rich guys at the top shove all the costs downhill while the government enforces it as the status quo.

Story as old as time. Never mattered who was in the charge of the shit show.

Joe, for sure, because for the first 7 years he had us in the Playoffs. And he excelled there. He got a bum steer after the SB. Kubiak was an oasis for him and the team, but after that they had nothing for him. Do this - take Joe out from his rookie season until his 3rd year; what had he done? Stabilized the other 50% of the team in those years. Joe is elite - No he's not - yes he is... He was a QB on a rookie deal guiding (stabilizing) an OFF with an elite DEF. He was a huge reason for our success, he was dirt cheap, AND they spent the savings on DEF, relying on cheap RB's, draftees, TE's from the draft, and cheaper Vet WR's to get him thru. Just listen to how the guys like Ray still talk about him - "Joe is clutch." We should have won another SB with him if the Refs knew what a catch is... fucking Lee Evans!

FUCKING L** E***S!!!!!!
Had to fix it LMAO. Fuck that POS.

The new off off season hard knocks is pretty interesting. The focus on the GM in the offseason is cool. The decision making behind Barkley seems so easy from an outsiders perspective, but everyone but the GM seemed to struggle with it

I mean heres a text I sent my friend regarding Hard Knocks.....

"10 minutes into Hard Knocks NYG and its painfully clear this front office SUCKS."

"The Assistant GM just told us that getting a sirloin at filet price at Outback Steakhouse isnt good value  "

So you guys are saying you're ok without a ring because we were able to draft a HOF kicker. I know you're not, but lol.
We got a ring and HoF kicker. And no way the 2012 team is the same if 2011 wins a ring. A couple retirements probably happen earlier so there's no guarantee of back to back wins. Sometimes you need those losses to get over the hump.

I think Ray retires if we win in 2011

There's no reason why we couldn't have had two rings. Tucker or not.

Rashod maybe a bust(dont @ me with your lies) but this is pretty wild, dude has some serious ups.
