2019 OL Thread

If we don't go with Ford at the end of the first/early second (trade back), then I think Derwin Gray later on would be the perfect pickup. He was left tackle for Maryland, so he should be able to move in one spot without having to take time to get used to the new position. He's a beast.

Garrett Bradbury might be my guy

You ever check out anything on Eric McCoy. Bradbury looked like a pitbull and he wasn't being moved but my gawd McCoy ( I think that's his name ) that pulling action and footwork was amazing.

@JoeyFlex5 (see your already getting ready for FM)

Garrett Bradburry is a favorite of mine. He's probably the quickest and most athletic of the C's.

The amount of movement that this Offense requires of the OL fits perfectly with what Bradburry is good at. He's a little light (ala Jason Kelce) but makes up for it by beating guys to the spot and working angles.

What stood out about Bradbury to me was his second level blocks, he gets to the second level so quickly and he blocks efficiently, he isn’t wasting steps on the way there with unnecessary help and he’s landing clean moving blocks on THE guy in space, he springs runs when he blocks the second level, also he doesn’t give an inch in pass pro, that dude is a stonewall, one of the better anchors on the interior and he does it despite not being the most powerful guy.

And he still is not short on having push power, he gets enough of push in the run game he just isn’t that absolute road grader type, lets just say he’s not Matt Skura or Gino. Real tactical blocker and has the tools for it. I could see Bradbury ending up a first rounder and a lot of people question it like what happened with Travis Frederick. It just might be us.

I've just started into watching prospects and I am focusing on centers. I liked McCoy after an initial look. Looking forward to checking out more

I’ve mentioned this before but I’m really high on Max Scharping from Northern Illinois. He plays tackle, but I think he’s better suited at guard in the NFL, he’s just a man amongst boys in the run game.

I really don't understand all the fuss about Bradburry. He's downright weak. In a zone scheme maybe but here? No thanks.
