Bo Smolka: The #Ravens have usually watched and waited while the crazy money flies early in free agency, finding value later. And those free-agency frenzy contracts often end up disappointing.

Realistically how much cap space do we need to save for our draft picks? I'd imagine it takes at least $10 million.
 
so we're still apparently one of the favourites in the bell market - but ive not seen much about that since tampering started...

the reports that we're potentially in a bidding war with the saints on ingram is worrying for both of those potential situations to me

Like $2.5M. Not that much. There’s basically a rookie pool inside of the cap due to the rule of 51. Really, only the prorated portions of the signing bonuses factor into the cap at this time.
 
Why are people against bringing in Ingram for a couple years? He was great las season, and one of the best power backs in the nfl. He's be a gigantic upgrade over our rbs.

I don’t mind the player at all - just seems like something we already have. Not really the dynamic, 3 down type of guy that I think we need. I wouldn’t be mad if we got him (depending on price), but think we’d be better served waiting.
