That's because they have put a big focus on their defensive line. Last two years, Jonathon Allen and Da'Ron Payne. That has made a big difference for the Redskins defense.

Calling it now. It'll be damn near exactly like our week 17 loss last season. Start off extremely slow while Dalton gets off to a red hot start. Then, we'll keep it close leading up to halftime.

3rd quarter hits and for the first 5 mins or so, neither offense will move the ball at all. Then, we'll score a TD to either tie the game or trim their lead. Then, the 4th quarter occurs and both teams trade FGs. Eventually, our offense will score a TD to take the lead. Our defense will force a quick 3-and-out. We get the ball and we're moving the ball down the throat until we get to their 30 or whatever. Either a Bengals defensive TD will occur or we miss a FG or some shit. Bengals get the ball back with about a min left and you already know what happens next. By the time our offense gets the ball back, there won't be enough time to move the ball downfield and yes we lose yet again.

Okay can someone explain what is going on with the games so far? None of these scores make ANY sense. If EVERY game was going the opposite of how it is I would be more willing to believe that than this bizarro scenario we have right now.

they entered the game as the number 32 defence in yards - note that this was before getting ploughed by one of the top 3 offences in the league (all of whom are functioning at a heretofore unseen level of play)
