Lamar Jackson

Militant X 1

Ravens Ring of Honor
Next offseason we should trade both Joe and Bob, bring back your boy to back up Lamar.

You know what? I feel that @allblackraven. But you knew I would say that. Lol!

Tyrod fits this style of offense better than when he was first with us.

can we get back on topic please

I am going to make my first and last kind of aggressive comment. As moderators, I think you're doing a good job of trying to create a good environment that is not so strict and boring like how the old site was. However, clearly if you give some slack it's going to be abused. If these people each in their own way see themselves as the more intelligent/accurate in the debate, have tried to make their opinions understood, and this leads to some dispute fine. But if this just continues indefinitely on a trajectory that has increases in hostility over time, this means just one thing. These people like arguing lol!!! And I don't wanna hear any of the but their comments are so asinine I need to tell them their wrong so that they understand and can be a better viewer. First of all it's not your job, second of all you already tried and now it's just fighting. If you can't see that you're talking to a brick wall then you're blind. If you can see you're talking to a brick wall and keep arguing with it, you're not blind, you're just stupid. Everyone needs to understand this website is for being a fan of the ravens, not being right! Especially in something that is so precisely not objective. This is actually how children behave because it's irrational banter and to do the same thing over and over expecting something to change is insanity. I just can't believe that adults of a common fan base can't even remotely get along. Rants over.

Well, to fix these issues, there’s one solution... delete forums and delete the whole internet altogether.

Or people realize Flacco is dumpster juice and has been for years...

Some peoples views on his play are about as accurate as Screaming A's pregame takes on the Chiefs Chargers game.

Yep especially those people who think his play has been dumpster juice. Those people are especially divorced from reality and as accurate as your example.

I knew this was coming. I wrote in an ambiguois way on purpose, that way people could interpret it as they see it. Basically what that says is, if you don't want people fighting, the only way to accomplish that is to censor it to death like the old website. But if you don't want to do that, you need to live with people fighting. You can't have it both ways. My larger point being that the mods are doing their best but are trying to accomplish the impossible. Trust me, I'm 100% for fighting then censorship.

I'm guessing this is where many are saying that it is pretty sad how some are just "trashing" Flacco on his way out, after he's been the best QB this franchise has ever seen - by like a fucking lot.

I disputed this notion of "trashing", but then dumpster juice (which is a direct derivative of trash) literally supports their claims.

I've been supporting the promotion of Lamar, but for the love of god - Flacco has been inconsistent, frustrating at times and not playing up to his contract ... but I don't think dumpster juice is an accurate assessment. Let's save that metaphor for players like Bortles. Flacco's skills have diminished over these years and his performances addled by poor line play, mounting injury and sub-par receiving corps. The time has come to turn the page, but a little respect for a guy who is a hands-down a Ravens Ring of Honor entry.

How am I trashing him on the way out when film, numbers and eye test can show you what I'm saying?

I love Flacco and supported him the whole way, will always be a fan, and appreciate all he’s done for us, and I realize he’s had a really rough go at it since 2013. however... joe has been objectively bad for 5 of the last 6 years, with a solid stretch of play sprinkled in here and there.

The defense has been terribly unclutch and given up leads he’s given us, sure, but only after he goes 3 and out all game with more turnovers than touchdowns. Receivers have dropped passes at a ridiculous rate, but he has also missed damn near every wide open deep ball he’s been presented with for 6 years. He’s had bad pass protection, but he’s also missed quick reads that would have nullified a pass rush frequently and missed blitz pickups he should not have. He can’t properly time and place a screen pass which is the best counter for a blitz, he makes guys break stride on passes that travel 7 yards and gets his screen targets lit up. He locks onto guys for entire games and when they’re doubled he throws it to them anyway and ignores other that are open, if he doesn’t force it then he checks down to Boyle/pitta/Watson in the flat for no gain. He checks down to RBs in the backfield with multiple defenders coming downhill fast and gets them crushed for a loss, and he does it VERY often, how is this 11 year veteran not seeing some of these things and working on them? Joe Flacco had a run, he had a strong team and he got hot, and he looked like the second coming of favre when he was running around dropping dimes 40+ yards downfield and placing balls directly over 3 defenders heads in the red zone and shit, it was BEAUTIFUL qb play, but he has not been that guy since then

“Some” have been trashing Joe since 2008. lol No reason for them to change now.
