I was a fan of Anderson coming out as well

Last year he had a pretty good year and hasn't been as good this year. I'll give him a pass since he's in DC.

Was a win win. Send him to spite the Browns and hopefully beat a division opponent. Also clear room for Ramsey.

Ryan Anderson could be a guy - i liked him in the draft as an all-around edge guy albeit not someone i loved as a pure pass rusher but was violent as hell and a gamer and a leader of a swarming defence - a guy who had un-exciting athletic traits but who had a penchant for big plays on tape

if he's just coming in to help take snaps at Rush LB and help out in the running game then that's cool - could be a 2019 version of courtney upshaw for us potentially with some hope of him developing as a pass rusher

the more i think about it the more i think it might be anderson - solid player not starting on a rubbish team with an exciting rookie ahead of him on the depth chart but he's playing the best football of his short career and playing more snaps than at any other time in his career so far - no sacks in 2019 (and only 2 in 2018) but he already has almost as many pressures and qb hits as he had all last season

he's also a really solid run stuffer

probably a day 3 pick - could even be a 4th rounder but not sure

I liked Anderson but felt he was reached on big time. I felt he was a late third round type, maybe early fourth, but I DID like him. He was just a nasty, high iq, high motor guy with natural leadership traits. Nothing spectacular but a guy I felt that on the right defense should have a role in this league, I never liked him as a real edge rusher though

i loved him as an nfl player and his tape was really fun to watch in a non-traits kind of way - but yeah never popped as a pure pass rusher dominant type

I think it's because there's less confusion. I don't want to say simplification, but it seems like players are understanding their respective roles which allows them to react faster to the ball.

There are rumors floating that the Ravens have made an unknown offer to the Jags for Yannick Ngakoue. I've also heard that Snyder asked for too much for Kerrignan...thank god.

Was about to comment this. Didn’t know how legit the source was though. Don’t want Ryan, but if we can trade a 3rd for Yannick, I truly hope we get it done. Hell, I’d trade a 2nd for Yannick if that was the asking price

I'm not sure how legit it is either, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was inquired about. The Jags are far apart in contract talks and maybe they just want to make sure they can get something for him. A 4th round pick is the equivalent of a 3rd rounder in 2021, which is essentially what they would get for him as a comp pick. Hey, if they took a 3rd rounder it would be a great move by EDC.

Yup. I saw that as well. That would be insane if EDC pulled it off.

I'll be on board with giving up a second for Yannick in a heartbeat, but also I would like to see a contract extension ASAP with him so we keep him here for years to come. Come on Eric, kid is from DC and played College at Maryland..... BRING HIM HOME!

I remember him coming out. But if you go on the redskins forum / reddit... they all seem to say he offers zero pass rushing and is “decent” at the run. I wouldn’t be too excited about him
