really good article about it in the Athletic today in how they played quarters and basically crowded the middle of the field.Cincy made some interesting adjustments, they were committed to stopping the run and not letting Lamar let loose. The only thing that made no sense to me was the commitment on to run on some obvious downs. It just seems like we have become predictable and even still we are successful. For now.

The Ravens always ran on obvious downs last season. I think they ran on 1st a ridiculous number of times but they always got around 5-7 yards as opposed to 2-4 so it felt okay. Frankly the run blocking is not very good. They are going to have to find someone in the draft to fix this. I hope this next draft is a strong trenches draft.
Even if we do manage to address those things in the future, the now is what worries me. Are we just going to keep doing the same thing over and over?
Where do you see that? My twitter is down...Great. Now the chiefs have Bell. God damnit.
I mean using Gus last week did not work. Though to be fair the Ravens problems stem from not creating holes and I see no way in which another back magically helps the OLine create holes.
And that is my issue right there. It seems at times we're hellbent on running on first down with Ingram. I don't know how extensive G-Ro's playbook is, but there's no harm in opening it up for a play or two just to keep the defense honest.Cincy made some interesting adjustments, they were committed to stopping the run and not letting Lamar let loose. Decosta knows we need help, help is comingI am so fucking bitter that we have Lamar Jackson and maybe the leagues best defense and a top 3 TE and a potentially generational talent at rb and we should be able to roll to dynasty status, but the fucking chiefs happen to be in the league at the same time.
If you replaced the Flacco era with this iteration of the ravens, they would’ve rolled right the fuck over those early tomlin Steelers and the patriots, but no we have this team in 2020 where we can essentially forget about a super bowl because we’re not getting past the chiefs any time soon.
There is 1 team I absolutely wanted no parts of bell with, and that’s KC, Andy Reid might fuck around and get 4000 all purpose yards from his top 2 backs if they played a full season
