do I think this is our year? not at all.
But next year? when we combine all we learned this year and an insertion of dawgs and dominate players?
I can't wait for next season.

If Juan James does come back, what do we do with him?
I really hope Mekari can make it back before the Browns Steelers Browns stretch. Boyle and Mekari actually give me a lot of faith in pass protection. Richard is great and a mover in the run, but he often completely misses on pass blocks.

Was this the play where Bozeman blocks it looks like Powers goes to help double team NO ONE and lets a guy get through untouched?

God I miss Suggs so much. He was always the smartest player on the Football field and knew how to get guys lined up and always knew the play ahead of its time. Times like this make me reminisce about our past players like Ray and Ed.

I still think that's a long shot that he even returns, but he'd be T depth for me if he does. For me personally, if Mekari is healthy, he's my RT. I don't think James having to ramp back up is a better swing T option that a guy like Ogbuehi, so I'd just let him get healthy and see if he factors next year IF all the other guys are healthy at that time.

For the record, I was not the one hospitalized either time. Mother in 17 and wife in 19.

We basically forfeited this season to hoard picks so EDC better fucking nail that shit or we'll look like one of those teams with a disgruntled franchise QB.

James is washed and super injury prone, he essentially hasn't played since 2018. It was a waste of time and money bringing him here.

For this year at least we need Mekari back at RT. He gets A LOT of help with chip blocks and 6 man fronts so he isn't the long term answer, but he's the best RT we currently have. I think his future is at LG or C if Bozeman isn't extended.

The best part of having Pat back would be benching Powers for Tyre.

Also curious about this. I saw a video based on speculation that Dobbins had it bad if it was more than just the ACL (career threatening), but no news is good news

Wow, dolphins showed cover 0 40x presnap.. thats def on lamar, and the whole offensive staff including harbaugh.. how tf we couldnt adjust to that? get in bunch sets or something.. gotta work on our in game adjustments for sure

One trend I continue to notice is how late we are getting to the LOS. This allows the defense to get a better jump on the snap and takes away Lamars ability to read the D/ change the play. He has to speed the offense up

I heard that's partly down to Roman's complex verbiage so maybe simplifying the play calls should be a goal this off-season. You could argue that pre-snap adjustments are the next natural step in Lamar's growth anyway.
