The ball had to be placed between safety and corner, Lamar put the ball in a good spot, should’ve been a little higher but it wasn’t bad. If he throws that deeper then the safety picks it and Robinson doesn’t even have a chanceIt was Robinson and the ball was tremendously underthrown
Definitely a bit short. Probably should have looked elsewhere. The ball had to be placed between safety and corner, Lamar put the ball in a good spot, should’ve been a little higher but it wasn’t bad. If he throws that deeper then the safety picks it and Robinson doesn’t even have a chance

Poor decision more than anything to me I thinkDefinitely a bit short. Probably should have looked elsewhere.
Also wasn't expecting Proche to be WR4 essentially. Will be curious to see the snap counts but felt Duvernay was clearly WR2 today based on usage, and Robinson likely outsnapped him as well.
unfortunately a lot of that has more to do with him not playing special teams. Glad we signed Robinson though.Pretty telling that Demarcus (3 weeks in) came in and got more snaps / looks than Proche. We should probably stop the proche fairytale
It was just week one there's 16 more games left to see of James Proche and others.Pretty telling that Demarcus (3 weeks in) came in and got more snaps / looks than Proche. We should probably stop the proche fairytale
The name is Cameron, Cam Cameron. Try to use the James Bond intro style.I feel like we are handcuffing Lamar as long as Roman remains the OC. It's always the same thing every week with the terrible play calling. Yes, players make mistakes but when Roman has three years worth of film with zero creativity and the same thing over and over with our offense, it's time for Roman to go..... again. This is the same thing we did with you know who back in 2012 and Joe was being handcuffed.
No point rushing Stanley back until he feels completely ready, especially after James tore his achilles on the same leg, but different spot I understand.Well Peters will be a great addition. While JK is ramping hopefully Drake can continue to improve. Mekari becomes the LT until Stanley is back
Agree. I'm not sure the "downgrade" from James to Mekari is that significant. They're probably comparable at this point in their careers. No point rushing Stanley back until he feels completely ready, especially after James tore his achilles on the same leg, but different spot I understand.
I'll piggy back off a couple of these:Things I liked:
1. Snaps from under center- I think having more of our plays from under center will help us better disguise our plays
2. The play from our WRs- I loved seeing Duvernay and Robinson getting involved in the passing game
3. Lamar's play in the second half- while the offence looked half asleep during the first half, Lamar woke up in the second half and took over the game like I knew he would
4. Defense played really well for most of the game and had some nice turnovers
Things I didn't like:
1. Injuries
2. Running game- the running game looked like it did last season
3. 4th quarter defense- our 4 quarter defense let Flacco drive at will to pad his stats and that is not acceptable in a more competitive game
I think they would be more likely to move Moses to Left Tackle for a couple games and in the past he has done that pretty well. Think he did it in 2020 back in Washington. Not sure what Harbaugh would do, but I think that would be the best option.Agree. I'm not sure the "downgrade" from James to Mekari is that significant. Problem though is now we have a lack of depth at Tackle (again). Faalele, who's really green, is basically now the swing tackle until Stanley returns. He could theoretically be your LT for a few weeks if Mekari gets hurt.
I don't think they're going to rush any of these guys, but seems like a) Peters is pretty damn close to being back and b) they could certainly use him now, since it seems unlikely Fuller is out there for awhile (if he returns at all).
I agree with your entire post here. I don't see you assigning any blame to the calling of run plays by Roman. Do you consider the possibility that D-coordinators around the league have figured his schemes out?I'll piggy back off a couple of these:
1. Running game is frustrating to watch. It seems we're like millions of miles away from the 2019 offense that could bludgeon anybody at any time, and routinely had like 5-6 yard runs. We have so many runs now for little or no gain that it's frustrating to watch.
Hard to tell whether that's lack of quality run blocking or RB play (likely both). I'm also slightly less concerned because I think Jets do have a pretty strong front that's not really known league-wide because they're a bad team. Their Dline is very good in my opinion.
2. I'm not concerned about the 4th quarter D, mostly because we wouldn't play that soft or that scheme necessarily if we didn't have a 3 TD lead in the 4th quarter.
3. I thought the defense was good, BUT, I will say that I think the secondary got lucky a lot. Jets dropped a lot of passes. I recall at least 3-4 extremely catchable balls, and maybe more. One was for a TD, and at least one other I recall was like a huge 3rd down drop. I don't think it changes the outcome of the game, but there were open receivers frequently with clear separation that just didn't make plays. I don't know that I want to see that every week.
Some of that could be schematic, but felt like there were some key "stops" that involved dropped passes, not necessarily high execution from the D.
In terms of "star" players...
1. The whole Dline. Just looked great. I'm tempering expectations, because I certainly think the Jets Oline is among the league's worst at the moment, and Joe, as we know, is a statue with no pocket mobility and limited awareness to begin with.
2. Marcus Williams is an absolute stud.
3. Thought Stephens had a solid game.
I can't really single out anybody on offense. Thought the Oline overall was pretty strong in pass protection, especially in 2nd half.
