The Defence, The Inconsistency and The Whatever Happened on those 2 4th Quarter Drives

Likely does his thing, but he's gotta make more catches. One almost led to a turnover
Thank god Dalton overthrew both endzone plays at the end of the 2nd quarter so they had to settle for a fg instead.
Washington has filled in nicely for Pierce.
Overall it's refreshing to see what a almost healthy pass rush rotation can do for your defense.

It's frustrating to watch. We did not have these problems at the beginning of his tenure so wtf

We look so basic at times and if it wasn't for how explosive Lamar is and how it forces defenses to account for him at all times I am not sure this offense even sputters 19 points.
yes we did. Absolutely had the issues, you just don't remember them.

I ain’t forget, a few you wanted McDonald out.

KEEP DAT ENERGY lol

2 things I’m not liking. The offense continually looking like it wants to take a snap at 0. There’s been a ton of confusion and I hate that. I want more easy throws that take advantage of Lamar’s arm/dart throws.

Second thing. MPs effort.
I've wanted a Big Mac for a while, but yes many including myself were wondering if Macdonald had it. Definitely improving but a lot of games left.

The one to Likely didn't bother me a ton, personally. That's a tough pass to make.

I generally thought he made the throws that were easy and missed a few difficult ones that get the spotlight because players appeared more open.

yeah it didnt bother me but it's the one i wish he would have hit

but all-22 is going to be very telling about just how open our WRs were - Aikman called him out for missing open guys early and yet it seemed like on a bunch of completions that unless the saints busted, there was very little separation

The good: a nice relaxing and stressfree Ravens game. Does not happen often

The ugly: Two weeks until next game. Considering how this place deteriorated during a 10-day minibye, I expect serious namecalling before the Panthers game
The good- Stress free? What game were you watching? Lamar cursing out Stanley, Peters cursing out Harbaugh?…..jk……lol!

The ugly- A divided purple flock locker room….hmmm, let me think on that. Yep, I am sold! If it equates to the Ravens kicking ass, then I will fight all you sons of bitches! lol!

Thought we dominated a lot more than the score showed. Rather than position by position, I'll call out some players that I think really stood out

Kenyan Drake - dude was slippery and showed good vision all night. He's starting to come into his own here. I'd be open to retaining him for another year as some insurance.

Demarcus Robinson - the stat line doesn't show it but he's really stepped up with Bateman being out the last 2 games. Getting open relatively consistently and fighting for those extra yards

Ben Powers - guy has really stepped up his game this year. Looks really comfortable pulling and made a ton of key blocks.

The whole DL - continually making an impact by just getting their hands up. I highlighted the entire group but damn has Broderick Washington in particular turned into a solid player

Roquan Smith - impact from day 1 and he's not even comfortable. His patient but still aggressive approach is going to be a godsend for a team that hasn't had a force in the middle for a number of years

Justin Houston - enough said

Brandon Stephens - he's quietly reinserted himself into the lineup after a rough stretch and performed pretty well. Hopefully he can build some momentum.

Jalyn Armour-Davis - didn't play on D but was nice to see him out there busting his tail on ST. Hopefully that parlays into some confidence on D as well.

Kyle Hamilton - finally coming into his own. Closes with speed and has been wrapping up and tackling unlike preseason. Really looking forward to his continued development because he has every physical trait you want.

found it interesting that JAD was preferred to Wallace (basically a 1 for 1 swap on special teams) - and victor being elevated was slightly odd given he doesnt play special teams and he played 4 snaps at WR - real fall from grace if wallace is just now below Victor straight-up in the pecking order at WR

Kyle Hamilton, for the 2nd week in a row, was the clear 5th DB on the field and this week played 75% of the snaps - if he continues to progress over the bye this could be amazing - if Williams comes back and is anything like what he was when he got injured... we're legitimately looking at 4 quality NFL safeties - ive been so impressed with Geno Stone in relief even if he's no Williams

That was one concern I did have last night, the offense took too long getting to the LOS and looked like they had to really think about the playcalls.

it happened only on 1 drive where it was an actual problem
every time this happens people blame Roman when it's not been an issue since week 1 - we've been consistently getting to the LoS with plenty of time previous weeks and most of the time yesterday despite being on a silent count had very few issues outside of that horrible 3-5 play stretch

Pray tell, which asshole did that??
Walk over to that mirror and take a peak. The answer that you seek will be revealed. lol.

I like that the time of possession last night was really in our favor, but I would like to see our offense change up the pace and snap it a little quicker sometimes. I think it would actually improve our run game catching the defenses off guard more. We just have to be more careful of the false starts, but I know that having delay of game penalties drive me absolutely nuts.

Also i know we thought like the vibe was off earlier in the season and maybe some dont see it this way but the visible frustrations from Lamar and Peters didnt feel like the Peters outburst earlier in the year - felt like guys demanding more from themselves and their teammates despite being up majorly

guys who are "pissed off for greatness"

Accountability.

Accountability.

i also loved that stanley basically shadowed lamar while he was pissed off - he took that responsibility as one of the few guys on the team with that kind of standing - taking it upon himself to try and cool the situation

ive missed Ronnie so much honestly - this team has needed him... and i cant believe he's actually back and playing the way he is

I dont get why im seeing so much negativity across the board today???

think this is the most positive ive felt about the ravens since the 3rd quarter ended against Miami in week 2
Me either. Sure, we still have some things to clean up but overall, we took care of our own business last night and got the win that we needed before heading into the bye. Let's enjoy that!

and we just smothered them with the running game in the 2nd half - just squeezed the life out of them like a boa constrictor and outside of those 2 drives didn't loosen our grip at all

that bodes well for the rest of the season

I see it the same way. These guys are realizing what is in front of them at this stage of the season. They want to take advantage of their opportunities and to express their frustration for poor performance or to hold one another accountable (whether in public or private) is a wonderful thing to see IMO.

Geno Stone has been incredible. I liked him coming out of the draft and it was lucky we got him back one he got claimed from us. I don't see Clark back on the Ravens next year, but Stone makes him expendable.

Just to add one more but Geno Stone has stepped up and played admirably with Williams out.

Edit: I see a few folks beat me to it.
