Wow. Sitting and looking thru spotrac's available starting pitching doesn't look really good. Plus site doesn't tell you if they're lefty or righty. Lance Lynn according to stats would be the guy I'm shooting for. Decent W-L % but qwhat caught my eye is is that he's an innings eater going over 175 IP's since he became full time starter going over 200 IP's in 2 out of 5 yrs. Would really like him. Would be that solid #2 behind Bundy. Call me crazy but I'd sign Tillman back also. Maybe to minor league deal. Manny is our only way to getting some good SP here imo.

Also Darvish's contract doesn't look to bad neither. Gives me some hope.

I think it would be worth it to sign Tillman and hope he can rebound.

Lynn would certainly upgrade our starting pitching. He would eat innings which would help our bullpen. I think we would lose our second round draft pick if we signed him.

The bigger question is where do the Orioles see themselves. Do they believe they can compete for a playoff spot? If we sign Lynn I see us winning around 72 games, we have many holes to fill. Do the O’s aim for mediocrity again? I would be in favor of rebuilding and trying to win the World Series.

Even though the Orioles have many holes to fill and seem reluctant to do so, it is exciting to imagine a youngster making the jump to be a contributor on the major league level. Something like Mancini did last year.

I think Dan did an okay job when he first got here. Had some luck, but I really can't take that away from him since luck is a part of being a good general manager. However, once he started flirting with Toronto a few years back (2015 I think), I wanted him gone. I think Angelos was stupid keeping him and I think he kept him here mostly because of his ego. Anyway, not impressed with him and not confident.

I have always wondered if Angelos has restricted Duquette’s power since the he flirted with Toronto. Since that time it seems the franchise has no direction. It seems we are floundering in mediocrity.
