@JoeyFlex5 idk why you think hes so slim. Hes 6'1 192 which is plenty good enough size for a WR2. I mean Ridley is 6'0 189 so i dont see how thats much of an issue. I think hes got better hands than you give him credit for too. He highpoints the ball extremely well and fights back for the ball consistently.

But i agree, well never agree on this prospect lol even though we agree on most other prospects

but ridley has freakish one step burst and a rare ability to change direction, along with far better ball tracking and awareness, and better body control and more aggressive hands, lol all things that pettis doesnt have. and im not saying he has bad hands at all, i actually havent seen bad hands from him, but he isnt an aggressive catcher, he doesnt attack it, and he damn sure isnt able to work past/work around defenders or shield off defenders to make tight catches, and his burst/suddenness/elusiveness just isnt at the level it needs to be to overcome that.

if he goes to the eagles or rams or saints or some shit, and hes able to work downfield and develop his route, get open, and have a good qb deliver a clean ball that he can catch in stride, then yeah he can do some damage, but i think most teams need a receiver who they can count on to produce independently a little more, especially us.

i think this is where i sit on pettis - he's fine and likely going to produce as a receiver for a long time in the nfl as long as he's able to work away from pressure - he needs defenders taken away from him and he needs to learn how to beat press

with pettis i imagine his upside as being a career secondary type receiver who is useful when given space to work and who is great vs zone coverage and i imagine he might transition into taking a lot of snaps out of the slot well

i actually like his route running but he's definitely not sudden, more smooth which isnt necessarily a bad thing

that being said i agree im not sure he's a great fit with the ravens over many of the other "equivalent" receivers in the class and as such i personally have him ranked at the bottom of the day 2 receiving group although i absolutely have a day 2 grade on him

I think your selling Pettis short on his ball tracking and aggressiveness as a catcher. I think thats one of his strengths tbh.

-1:25 high throw yet no problem going up to get the ball
-1:55 he get behind the defense yet is forced to fight through the defender and makes an aggressive play on the ball, goes up abd gets it at its highest point
-3:00 simple 8 yard hitch but instead of sitting and waiting for the throw he comes back and meets it half way, if he doesnt do that then the defender has a chance at breaking up the pass

-2:00 does a good job sheilding the defender and highpointing the ball (arguable whether or not thats a catch but with the rule change i think thats a TD in the NFL)
-3:00 just a great play by Pettis

Theres more games of Pettis where he shows aggressive hands but I thought these would suffice

Definitely not talking about strictly route running. I like DJ Moore but there’s nothing on tape that you can convince me makes him a top 5 route runner, let alone #1. Ridley is #1 and it’s not up for debate.

That’s his top 5 receivers..
Thank you for the first paragraph, I thought I was the only one thinking that.

That was my top 5 to clean up.

The best Route runners are ridley and Hamilton in the class.

My rankings on wr are always different but i have a successful hit rate.

Ftr i couldn't tell you anyone stat of any player in the class. I ignore them completely when grading

Not that it’s a bad thing. Who knows, maybe he’s smarter than all of us.

But for now, he’s got an odd top 5 receivers lol
I was talking about you saying Moore isn't a very good route runner, which I completely agree with and apparently a lot of people here don't.

Cedrick Wilson is so underrated. Man I wish he was 10-15 lbs heavier though.

But Wilson would be insane value in the 5th round if he could fall that far. Have a feeling he goes in the 4th though. He’s just too good to be taken later than that.

If Wilson was playing for one of the big football schools he'd be going in the second round. He's got a lot of really good traits. I think he ends up going late third or early fourth. The Ravens would have to use their third round pick on him if we wanted to get him.

Wouldn't bat an eye. He's one of my third round favorites assuming a guy like Washington or Gallup don't tumble.

Not much difference between what you'll get late first to early part of the 3rd for wr, in fact probably the whole draft.

A player could be number 2/3 on one teams positional board and 10 on another.

Alot of closely matched players at each positional group

Very true. Maybe outside of Ridley, we honestly have no earthly idea where all these receivers are gonna go. It’ll come down to preference.

It all depends on what teams value. Im sure Kirk will be higher on the Patriots board than he would be on any other teams because if how they value slot recievers. Cowboys probably covet Sutton more to replace Dez

without thinking about who may be available in this purely hypothetical scenario... we take gallup at 52, not worrying about who we passed on for him, are yall ok with it?

also, i saw an interview of gallup, and if this dude ever had to line up against jalen ramsey for a full game there will be scratching and hair pulling, hes feminine as hell.

I personally think 52 is too high but I realise that I’m lower on him than a fair few - he’s around number 60 on my board

I’m all in with Gallup in the 2nd.
