Blatant home cooking the whole second half. All the other games ended early, they needed the ratings. Not a macro conspiracy or anything, but it was clear the Eagles couldn't protect Wentz and Philly was allowed to hold for the much of the game. Got even worse when their RT went down.
I think the point is it’s a new season and Lamar has shown to get better over the course of the season.
Folks are so butthurt about other the Titans and Chiefs daring to beat our perfect team that they are freaking out and completely losing a sense of proportion.
Lamar has plenty to improve...
This is on Roman and Harbs tbh. Teams have pre-game meetings with refs and identify things they see on tape to watch. Remember when all of a sudden Michael Oher went from "the quickest first step at LT" to "False start machine"? He didn't change, the way the refs looked at him did.
Eagles...
Not a satisfying game to say the least but glad we got the W. A few takeaways:
-I'm not reading too much into the late game defensive "collapse." It was pretty clear in that game that, for whatever reason, the officiating was highly skewed. Our guys didn't disappear, they were held relentlessly...
Haha cool man. Again, I'm just talking about my personal preferences.
I certainly agree that Lamar still has flaws that could hold this team back from winning the super bowl. I'm just not...as outraged as you and others about the fact that those flaws exist in my 23 year old, reigning MVP...
You guys have the right to watch and cheer for however you want. Personally I’d hate to enjoy less than half of the games in a 16 game season that might get canceled because my 23 year old reigning MVP quarterback played poorly on a day when he practiced twice, played on one leg, and his close...
I was frustrated with Lamar after the Chief’s game but as I’ve had a couple weeks to think about it I realized (in my opinion) I was being pretty stupid. He’s the reigning MVP for god’s sake.
We’re talking about the NFL, where guys are paid millions of dollars to figure each other out. What...
Mmm hmm. Not going to name any names unless they want to put themselves but I do think it’s worthwhile to say other Ravens fans spend plenty of time on other boards but have the restraint not jump into their conversations like it’s weird that fans of other teams don’t spend their time slurping...
I dunno man. The trolling on other fan forums is particularly cringeworthy. Watching the fan base slowly turn into a mirror image of Pats fans is disappointing.
Very interesting, there are roster building implications too. It’s kind of like saying “Teams win with All Pro Quarterbacks.” Sure they do, it’s just incredibly difficult to find and develop that guy.
I would argue that it’s easier to find a couple competent pass rushers than it is to find...
I feel you man. I always said Kyle Kingsbury was going to be trash in the league and if we’re being honest, it’s like he wasn’t even on the sidelines this year. His twin brother Kliff, though, that guy did a decent job as a rookie NFL HC.
