they did the same with ramsey but there comes a point when an owner has to understand that you can lose the player and get a pick at the very end of the third round the next year, or you can get a better pick that year by trading. they understood that with ramsey, and they would be crazy to believe they actually have a shot at the playoffs, they have zero chance at the division at this point and the five seed currently has 1 loss, and the six seed is a very crowded race that they dont have much chance in.

Or realize you can pay and keep young defensive talents as well and stop letting them walk.

He doesn’t wanna stay though it looks like. They offered him a very fat extension and he turned it down. It’s entirely possible that a lot of players just don’t wanna play in Jacksonville

Ive been there its everything bad about Florida (hurricanes, humidity) with none of the good. Tampa and Miami are way better places to live.

GMF crew talked trades and Yannick to Ravens came up. Said it was going to take a 1st rounder to get him. Consensus was, we're not giving that up for a rental.
 
Take this for what it's worth but Jeff Zrebiec doesn't seem to think we're going to do anything much as it pertains to getting a pass rusher ( as we've been trying to for weeks now without success apparently)

Starting to feel that we're not going to be able to muster up anything of note with our cap situation and I don't think EDC wants to do anymore reworking of bad contracts ( B will etc)

well we definitely shouldn't rework bad contracts and unfortunately the only contracts we can restructure are ones we have done multiple times, like BWill and Tony Jefferson. BWill probably won't be on the team past 2021 and Jefferson is most likely gone in the offseason. So you are most likely correct, if the player isn't going to fit under the cap, then we won't be going after anyone.

However, that won't stop us in the offseason. It just will hinder us during the season and we shall feel it.
 
Yannick fits under our cap now and we can extend him in the offseason
